MY CAR MOTOR BLEW OUT OF NO WHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF ME DRIVING IT. IT WAS BEING WELL MAINTAINED UP UNTIL THIS HAPPENED TOO. ANYTHING THAT COULD OF CAUSED THIS?
RUNNING HOT. REPLACED CAN MOTORS THERMOSTAT RADIATOR WATER PUMP
BOTH FRONT WHEES HAVE FALLEN OFF DUE TO FAULTY SUSPENSION COMPONENTS. THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL FELL OFF WHILE AT INTERSTATE SPEED WHEN THE TOP BALL JOINT FAILED. LUCKILY IT FELL INWARD. THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL FELL OFF WHEN IT WAS PUT UP ON THE RACK AT THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE FAULTY FUEL PUMP. AGAIN, THE UPPER BALL JOINT FAILED.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND KNOCKED EXCESSIVELY AT LOW AND HIGH RATES OF SPEED. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP, IT HESITATED SEVERAL TIMES AND LUNGED FORWARD. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH FORCE TO ENSURE THAT THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V313000 (AIR BAGS) 16V352000, BUT HAD TO WAIT FOR THE SECOND NOTICE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,200. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
2006 DODGE CHARGER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO FRONT END REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT OF SEVERAL COMPONENTS SUCH AS BALL JOINTS, BUSHINGS AND CONTROL ARMS DUE TO A FAULTY SUSPENSION SYSTEM DESIGN. *SMD
FRONT SUSPENSION WORN AT 45K MILES. REPAIRED AND WARED OUT AGAIN AT 60K MILES.
IN THE LAST YEAR I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE FRONT TIE RODS REPLACED THREE TIME. AT CERTAIN SPEEDS MY VEHICLE WILL VIBRATE. GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS OR INTO EVEN THE SLIGHTEST POT HOLE THE VEHICLE WILL VIBRATE. WHEN SLOWING DOWN OR COMING TO A STOP THE FRONT END WILL VIBRATE. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED MY FRONT TIRES NEEDED TO BE CHANGED AND/OR ROTATED TO THE BACK DUE TO AN UNUSUAL WEARING ON THE TIRES. THE WEAR WAS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TIRES.THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS IN PARK POSITION AND THERE IT STAYED WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT GEAR TO ANYTHING AND HAD TO TAKE THE CONSOLE AROUND THE LEVER APART TO SHIFT GEARS. AND THE BRAKES SQUEAK ALL THE TIME EVEN AFTER HAVING THEM REPLACED AND THE ROTORS REPLACED AS WELL AS THE STRUTS. WHEN THE CAR IS SITTING IN IDLE, THE LIGHTS DIMS AS THOUGH THERE IS A SHORTAGE IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I LET MY 17YR OLD DAUGHTER DRIVE MY CAR TO SCHOOL AND WHEN SHE GOT TO A RED LIGHT THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THIS IS DANGEROUS, SO I DON'T LET HER DRIVE THE CAR ANYMORE. MY SEATBELT LIGHT STAYS ON & BEEPS WHEN THE SEATBELT IS CONNECTED. THESE ARE ALL SAFETY ISSUES & CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. THESE ISSUES NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD RATTLE WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPY ROAD SURFACES AT ANY SPEED OVER 5 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT ALL VEHICLES OF A SIMILAR YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
I HAVE A 2006 DODGE CHARGER WITH V8 HEMI ENGINE. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH MY FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM I.E INNER/OUTER TIE RODS, BALL JOINTS AND WHEEL BEARINGS. MOST OF MY DRIVING IS DONE ON NEW JERSEY HIGHWAYS. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY TIRES TWICE BECAUSE OF THESE PROBLEMS. MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH DEFECTIVE SUSPENSION PARTS OCCURRED AT 40,000 MILES, SECOND AT 68,000 MI. AND LASTLY NOW AT 86,000 MI. COSTING ME APPROXIMATELY A TOTAL OF $4,000.00. EVERY MECHANIC THAT WORKED ON THIS VEHICLE CLAIMS THAT THE 2006 DODGE CHARGER IS NOTORIOUS FOR THESE ISSUES. THIS IS NOT NORMAL AND NEEDS TO BE SERIOUSLY LOOKED INTO. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY CHRYSLER/DODGE HAVE NOT TAKEN THIS MATTER SERIOUS, AND DID A RECALL OF THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM PARTS. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND STILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY WHEELS WOBBLING WHILE BRAKING AND LOTS OF NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT WHEN I HIT BUMPS IN THE ROAD AND ESPECIALLY BRAKING WHILE TURNING AROUND CURVES. PLEASE HELP THIS IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I TOLD THE LAST MECHANIC TO SAVE ALL OLD PARTS. I NOW HAVE THEM IN MY POSSESSION. *TR

CHARGET R/T 5.7 L: STARTING AT ABOUT 30,000 MI --SEVERE (VERY SCARY) VIBRATION AND SHAKE IN FRONT END AND IN STEERING WHEEL WHEN BRAKING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. DOES NOT OCCUR AT LOW SPEEDS. INSPECTION OF ROTORS/PADS SHOW NO PROBLEMS. BASED ON MY RESEARCH I BELIEVE TO BE A SUSPENSION DEFECT. *CN
I HAVE A 2006 DODGE CHARGER. IT WAS BOUGHT IN 7/06 WITH 41 MILES ON IT. IN 10/07 (AT 20,463 MILES) I HAD TO HAVE THE PASSENGERS SIDE TIE-ROD REPLACED (UNDER WARRANTY). I NOW NEED THE DRIVERS SIDE TIE-ROD AND TENSION STRUT REPLACED (AT 44,120 MILES). I AM TOLD THAT THE TENSION STRUT THAT I NEED IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER BECAUSE CHRYSLER HAS NOT PAID THEIR MANUFACTURER SO THEY REFUSE TO MAKE THE PARTS. THIS ISSUES HAVE CAUSED UNDUE WEAR ON MY TIRES AS WELL AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD NOT TO REPLACE THEM UNTIL THE OTHER PROBLEMS ARE FIXED BECAUSE IT WILL JUST WEAR THEM DOWN TOO. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES AND OTHER ISSUES THAT CHRYSLER APPARENTLY HAS IGNORED. I CAN NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR WITH MY CHILDREN IN IT AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG BEFORE THIS PART MAY EVEN BE AVAILABLE. WHEN THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED, I JUST ASSUMED THAT IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE IN ASSEMBLY, BUT NOW THAT'S ITS HAPPENED AGAIN, I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT ANYMORE. THIS CAR SHOULD NOT BE MALFUNCTIONING LIKE THIS WITHIN 3 YEARS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE SOMEBODY IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR WORSE. *TR
I HAVE A POTENTIAL PROBLEM ARISING. UPON TAKING MY 2006 CHARGER IN TO HAVE AN ALIGNMENT DONE ON IT I WAS TOLD THAT THE FRONT END HAD FALLEN AND IT WOULD NOT TAKE ALL OF THE SPECS ON THE ALIGNMENT. I TRIED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN ODESSA, TEXAS AND THEY NEVER DID GET TO IT ON THE DAY SPECIFIED. ALL THEY DID SAY WAS THAT MOST ALIGNMENT CENTERS DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS JOB. ONLY THE DEALERS THEY ALLOWED WOULD DO IT. PROBABLY BECAUSE THE DEALER DOES NOT WANT TO HAVE TO PUT FORTH THE REPAIRS FOR WARRANTY WORK AND THEIR PEOPLE WILL SAY THAT IT IS DONE RIGHT. I WILL GET A SECOND OPINION BUT IT WILL NOT BE WITH THEIR PEOPLE. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH SINCE AND HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL CARS OF LIKE MINE THAT HAVE HAD TIE ROD ENDS FALL OFF AND CAUSE NEAR ACCIDENTS. I ALSO READ MANY COMPLAINTS WHERE THERE HAVE BEEN INCIDENTS OF BRAKE FAILURES AND THE CHRYSLER CORP WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL. THAT IS DANGEROUS. ARE THEY WAITING FOR A COUPLE OF DEATHS BEFORE THEY TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY? *TR
