While driving at 65 mph, your Tahoe's engine suddenly revved up and wouldn't respond to throttle input, then reengaged on its own. Later, the transmission wouldn't shift into reverse. The transmission was found to be completely failed and needs full replacement. This happened after 4.9 years of careful maintenance, despite being within the manufacturer's 5-year timeframe but over the mileage warranty limit.

While driving with 8 passengers, your truck began jerking, lost acceleration, and slowed down on its own at 35 mph. Thick white smoke came from the tailpipe when you pulled over. A diagnostic scan showed a misfire in cylinder 1, and the dealership confirmed an internal engine problem. You've contacted multiple mechanics and GM directly, and this issue has been described to you as a known problem with the 5.3L engine, but GM has not issued a recall and is refusing to cover repair costs.

I was driving with my kids on the expressway about 55mph , when all of a sudden the truck went to 30's mph stayed on the 1st gear and did not want to go further from there, and another vehicle almost struck me from the back but was able to swerve me the check engine light also popped out of nowhere. The truck kept staying there on 1st gear, So i had call someone to come pick it up where I was at. I was concerned being struck from the back where the vehicle all of a sudden went to 1st gear and did not want to move from there and i had just gotten the vehicle 3-4 months ago from the gillman dealership.
