While traveling at a high rate of speed one of the Active fuel management lifters failed. This caused a misfire in one cylinder also damaging the cam shaft. The engine was stuttering and running very poorly at higher speed.

Several Thousand of these vehicles are experiencing engine/ lifter and transmission failure which can cause accidents and death. There was a class action lawsuit filed against GM and it needs to be offered to all owners of these affected vehicles.

Originally discussed with dealership during routine oil change and thought that it was possible connection with the auto stop/start so no further action taken. Problem has worsened to now affect ability to tow trailer and or use vehicle.

Transmission is slipping and can’t drive too dangerous. This is a VERY expensive repair for such a new type model. I have read several complaints about this model having transmission problems. Car is having issue since day one I bought it in 2019. Transmission is making a weird noise when shifting. It shakes when car is accelerating and in low RPM around 1.2 to 1.5 especially if car is driven with the load or up the hill. Car is making this stumping noise when car is decelerating like when attempting to stop on traffic light or stop sign, like the engine is going to go out so loud. At the dealership they told me if it’s not doing it constantly it’s normal. I will take it to the dealership this week again, it is really behaving bad lately . While operating my vehicle at normal capacity the engine lost power and jolted very hard and the vehicle began shaking. I heard knocking noises coming from within the engine. The truck only has 68k highway miles on it with regular maintenance done by the dealer. My 2010 version of this truck lasted longer than this one. Gm is telling me I need a $7800.00 dollar repair that I am on the arm for. There was nothing out of the ordinary that could have caused this. I am aware of others having the same problem. It would not be safe if I was traveling faster.

When shifting to park and shut truck off a shift to park warning comes on dash and you can shut engine off or lock door if you try the horn starts honking. I took it to dealer they had it for 2 days said it showed no costs nor could they get it to happen so they say. It dose it almost every time you shut it off.

Lifter went bad with no warning. Caused engine damage and need costly repairs. Truck only has 68,000 miles on it.

I have had to replace the transmission at 80k miles.the vehicle was shuddering so bad. Slipping gears and shifting very aggressively. The transmission is an 8 speed 8l90. This is unacceptable for gm to get away with this. Please do something I don’t want this to happen again. This same exact problem is happening to so many people!

I have had issues with the transmission of my 2019 Silverado RST since about 25,000 mile. I've had the vehicle in for service of the transmission multiple times and the issue is still unresolved. The vehicle will hard shift into second gear and downshift into different gears intermittently. I've followed through with all the maintenance that is required since I've owned this vehicle at the dealer level only. They've been the ones to recommend the maintenance items due to mileage. This includes the replacement of the trans fluid as well as the rear differential fluids. This problem is only getting worse now and it seems that GM is having dealers push these problems far enough without resolution that the owner would be outside the original power train warranty of the vehicle.

starting at about 10,000 miles I brought my vehicle in for service for a chirping noise from the left front axle area. I was told that they couldn't replicate the issue so I went for a drive with the service technician at the dealer. The noise was able to be replicated at that time and the dealer said that there is a service bulletin for that issue but they don't have a resolution for it from GM at that time. The noise is still evident and there is still no fix for it from the dealer. Not sure if this could become a safety issue further on down the road but with close to 60k miles on the vehicle now and the same noise still evident you'd think GM would have addressed it by now.

The truck at times and getting more frequent will at times jerk when downshifting and at times will be so bad it feels like you were rear ended. Had an issue 2 weeks ago this happened and the service engine light and anti skid light came on the interstate on ramp. The truck would not accelerate. I had to pull over, shut truck off for a couple minutes for computer to reset. Anti skid light went off but service engine light stayed on for several more days. Called dealership and service writer said down shift problems are normal, it's a learning feature. Truck has 52000 miles should have learned by now.

Hello, I am having issues with my 2019 Chevy Silverado's transmission. When I go to drive it, sometimes coming out of first gear I will have hard shifting. The shifting is to intense that I have to let off of the gas, so my truck and idol down.

Dashboard and display screen doesn't shut off when key had been removed from the ignition. Constant freezing, call dropping and sound boost at random moments. Ticking sound when barely touching the gas. Hard shifts. Bluetooth connects and disconnects constantly. If GM released a defective vehicle, in which they are aware of the problems should be fixed. Not only for me but for the tons of thousands filing known major problems as well.

I bought the truck in Oct. of 2019 with 5000 miles on it. I have taken it to several service shops since then.

1st Time I was idling for 30+ minutes, truck was also making strange knocking noises, pulled on to a major highway and rear end locked up, cars were slamming on brakes, almost got killed. Took to shop left for 2 weeks, they said they could find no issues. I assumed they fixed problem, because there was no knocking any more. 3 weeks later, was idling for about 45minutes, pulled into traffic, dark, raining, rear en locked up. I have had 2 times that the transmission on my vehicle has been repaired or replaced. The transmission is now not operable. My truck is a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500 crew cab.

Truck has excessive shuddering accelerating or decelerating. According to the service person at the dealer it is a problem with moisture and the factory fluid that the truck came with. Diagnostics showed excessive TCC Slippage which requires and upgraded transmission fluid.

My truck when it is in the city and I?m approaching a stop sign the transmission makes the vehicle shake. The aggressive shake only happens when I?m bringing my truck to a stop after going past the first gear. Repeated attempts by jones chevy, sumter sc, they have not identified the vibration problems with my new vehicle. 22+ days in repair, multiple visits, and gm classifies harsh vibration as "normal characteristic" and closed the case, saying its final. I have contacted gm ceo with certified letter, discussed with exec.

The 8 speed transmission sometimes gets hung in between gears or shifts very hard after it intermittently comes out of gear. This week, I went to cross a road on dry road conditions and the vehicle came out of gear, the engine revved and I was without a gear for 2-3 seconds, causing the oncoming traffic to be uncomfortably close by the time I regained power and was able to cross the road.

Automatic transmission and brake pressure problems. The automation transmission jerks when accelerating from zero miles per hour or at low speeds. It can dramatically increase the rate of an incident due to the powerful movement that the movement does to the whole truck.

After using the vehicles 4WD I got a esc service light which stayed on for 3 hours and wouldnt allow me to use the cruis ed control . Also ive noticed hardshifts and delayed shifts in the transmission when shifting from park to drive and from reverse to drive . And when reversing the vehicle sometimes the backuo camera does not come on like normal

My truck out of nowhere will momentary lockup of the rear wheels, I can't get it to release unless I remove the battery. This has happened around a dozen times. It has happened a low speeds and high speeds.

My transmission keeps shuttering during passing gear around 50-55 MPH. It causes my truck to slow down drastically. It's always a knee jerk.

Vehicle is showing the GM "SHIFT TO PARK" error code on the dash board, when turning the engine off.

The rear brakes lock up when slowing down. mechanic said its the transmission and that he had seen alot of this in this make and model of truck. The only fix is to clean but that is a temporary fix.

There is an issue with the transmission. My vehicle had started shifting erratically and became very clunky. At highway speeds, my truck will shutter and shift up and down for no reason while remaining at a constant speed.

When I started driving, the transmission began to feel loose, like gears weren’t seated all the way. And then it began revving for no reason, and would eventually catch a gear as I let off the gas. I was driving with my kids and I was afraid that the gears would catch at a high rev rate and send me forward into other vehicles or pedestrians so I needed to end my drive asap.

Silverado is telling me to shift my truck into Park, when the truck is actually already in Park. This does not allow me to physically turn the ignition off on my truck, forcing me to start and shut off my truck multiple times.

When backing out of the driveway and shifting from Reverse to drive the transmission slows the engine before slamming into second gear. During the entire driver the transmission shakes before shifting into any gear. I took it to Patriot Chevy in Warminster, Pa on 8/2/21.

Truck will rev high and not move for 2 or 3 seconds when accelerating after stopping at redl lght then slam into first gear and lurch forward abruptly. The motor mounts are damaged from doing this over and over again. Engine has 44000 miles is serviced on time every time and not abused.

While taking off fist shift from 2nd to 3rd gear trans slips to the point of losing forward momentum for several seconds. Multiple times in shop and failed to duplicate problem. Happens daily.

I was driving up a hill at approx. 5 miles an hour, with coworker in vehicle. The transmission could not find a gear and the vehicle lost momentum and rolled backwards down the hill.

When decelerating and braking near a complete stop (traveling in 5-40 MPH traffic w/ lights) the transmission immediately downshifts hard (2 to 1) and jerks the car forward getting potentially close to other vehicles on the road.

The transmission shifting from 1st to second gear has about a 5 second delay and then is a rough shift into 2nd. Only happens when the vehicle is cold from sitting for a long period like over night. After the one hard shift it doesn't do it the rest of the day.

When I was driving this vehicle first problem I start getting was the 4WD service light and won't be able to switch to 4WD, and was. Close to get in the wreck couple time during the winter storm. Second problem was when I was driving around 70mph on hwy truck got reduced engine power and slowed down my speed a lot, luckily I didn't have vehicle to close to me.

I was stopped on a hillside with engine running, shift lever in park, and the truck started to roll backwards. The truck computer put on the emergency brakes. I tried this three different times with the same problem of it rolling backwards.
