Your forward collision avoidance system isn't providing warnings or braking when vehicles stop suddenly in front of you, and it's not alerting you when backing up with pedestrians or vehicles nearby — even though the dealership says the computer shows everything is working normally. You've also noticed the truck sometimes accelerates and engages cruise control on its own when turning out of parking spots at low speeds. Since this safety feature was a key reason for your purchase, you're concerned the system won't work when you actually need it in an emergency. The dealership may need to recalibrate or reprogram the forward collision avoidance system, or replace sensors and software that control the warning and braking functions.
