The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while activating the rear window defroster, there was a crackling and sizzling electrical sound coming from the lower section of the windshield were the electrical components were located. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were contacted but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 49,000.
While the vehicle was in operation, the drivers side mirror fell off. The is a safety risk as I was not able to use mirror to check for vehicles in blind spot or in left lane as I was driving. Not to mention, as per NYS vehicle and traffic law, vehicles have to have at least a drivers side rear view mirror while in operation. After the vehicle was parked, inspection of the mirror assembly found severely corroded swivel and corrosion on the bolts holding mirror on the truck.
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that moisture was leaking into the vehicle from the rear passenger’s side window. The vehicle was initially taken to a dealer where the window was resealed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was discovered that there was crack in the rear passenger side window frame. The window frame was replaced but the failure persisted. The contact stated that mold might form inside the vehicle due to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that there was condensation leaking from the rear window third pane. The contact observed discoloration near the condensation. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear window needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.
