Your hub assembly separated while you were driving, which caused you to lose steering control of your truck. You've had to replace the hub assemblies 5 times in about a year and a half—well before they should normally wear out. Before complete failure, you noticed squealing noises, which was a warning sign. The fix will involve replacing the hub assembly with a properly designed part.

Your truck makes a popping noise from the front end when you turn or brake. A Chevy dealer found that both the left and right frame rails are cracked at the factory welds, even though your truck has never been in an accident. The dealer says the frame is unsafe and the only fix is to replace the entire frame.

While driving at 60 mph, your steering wheel became hard to turn and the battery warning light came on. When you checked under the hood, you found the idler pulley bracket had cracked, which also broke the serpentine belt. The dealer confirmed the damage, but the manufacturer said they couldn't help with repairs. The fix will likely require replacing the idler pulley bracket and serpentine belt.
