Your heated seat became dangerously hot while driving, causing a burning sensation on your thigh and eventually melting a hole in the leather seat. You smelled burning and had to turn off all heating to prevent a potential fire risk. The heated seat element appears to be malfunctioning and overheating, which could be a fire hazard while driving at highway speeds.
