Your forward collision avoidance warning system triggered a problem message after only 312 miles on your new 2025 Jetta, even though you hadn't driven yet and weather conditions were normal (72 degrees, dry). This is unusual for a brand-new vehicle and warrants diagnostic inspection by a dealer to identify the underlying cause.

Your car's cruise control doesn't work the way it should with a manual transmission. When you press the clutch pedal while cruise is on, the cruise temporarily disengages instead of fully turning off like it does in other manual transmission vehicles. If you keep the car out of gear for a while, cruise will fully disengage. This is confusing and potentially unsafe because you're usually pressing the clutch to slow down, but the cruise re-engages unexpectedly when you shift gears. The issue appears to be a software programming problem specific to manual transmission models.
