When your wipers move across the windshield in the rain, they create a hazy film on the outside of the glass that makes it hard to see clearly—similar to interior fogging, but on the exterior. This haze only appears when it's wet and goes away in dry weather, suggesting the windshield itself has a defect rather than a wiper problem. You may need to have the windshield replaced or treated with a water-repellent coating to restore visibility.
