Your Tacoma was hit on the passenger side in a collision, but the passenger-side airbag didn't deploy even though your son was sitting in the passenger seat wearing a seatbelt. The dealer's engineer said the occupancy sensor didn't detect a passenger, but you dispute this since your son was present and injured in the crash. Later, the manufacturer said they had no incident data to review. The airbag system may need inspection or sensor replacement to ensure it deploys correctly in future collisions.

I hit an elk on the road. The elk came in direct impact with the front of my truck. No air bags deployed despite the force of the significant frontal impact. There had been no warnings or messages leading up to this that the airbags were not functional, nor was I notified that these airbags were part of any recall. To my knowledge, they are not. The vehicle is currently at a collision center for estimate preparation for the insurance company.
I was driving on the highway and a semi truck hit my car from behind, pushed my car and I hit the car in front of me. I was doing around 55 mph when thee truck hit me.The airbags did not deploy. but the airbag light was lit up on the cluster. Later I received a message through the toyota app about a malfunction on my car's airbag system, that I have to contact the dealership to get it fix.
I was crossing through a major intersection. I had the green light so I proceeded in a forward direction. A vehicle traveling west on Hwy 24, ran the red light and struck me in the drivers door. His estimated speed was the speed limit at 35 mph. None of the airbags deployed in my vehicle. The curtain airbag on the drivers side, nor the airbag from the steering wheel. deployed. I hit my head on the drivers side window resulting in a small cut to the side of my head about an inch long, and a contusion on the side and upper part of my head. I did not require medical attention There were no warning lights on my vehicle indicating there was a problem
The truck was rear ended on 8/15 by a car going 45 miles per hour at a stop light. The air bag sensor went on and air bag did not deploy. It DID NOT deploy when it should have. Both passenger and driver seatbelt did not lock. They DID NOT LOCK. That sensor is also on. Was contacted by dealer after they were notified air bag went off when it did not go off and should have gone off. Seatbelts did not lock on impact causing injury. Car is not drivable due to these sensors and life saving features not working. Sensors are on. Insurance company says car can not be driven it is unsafe. Both driver and passenger went to emergency room. It is our sons car who is in college in Colorado.
