Water is leaking into your truck's cabin through the two rear vents, which aren't sealed properly to the body. The water runs down the interior walls and onto the floor, soaking the carpet and padding and causing mold growth throughout the cab—and even leaking through floor grommets to cause rust on structural cab mount bolts. This creates both a health hazard from mold exposure and a safety concern if the rusted bolts are compromised in an accident. Fixing this will likely require Toyota to properly seal or redesign the rear vents and address any rust damage to the structural components.

Your truck's clear coat is peeling or worn away, exposing the base coat paint underneath. This leaves the metal body panels vulnerable to rust and corrosion over time. You may notice dull spots, oxidation, or paint damage on the exterior. Fixing this typically involves sanding, repainting, and applying a new clear coat to protect the base color.

Factory paint peeling off
Paint on hood is coming up.
The paint is peeling off the top sections of both of my trucks rear doors. The paint appears to be peeling away down to either the primer or possibly the bare metal. This trucks paint code is 040 super white.
My 2018 tacoma has recently started leaking from the ceiling of the cab in the back seat. It is dripping water from melted snow onto the seat, causing a continuously damp seat.
