Your truck's frame has rusted through and broken. This is a structural integrity issue that affects the safety and stability of your vehicle. Frame repair or replacement will be needed to restore the truck's structural strength.

Your truck's frame has severely rusted and become unsafe, even though other similar trucks on the road aren't having this problem. You believe Toyota used defective steel and didn't properly prevent rust, and you say Toyota contacted you about this issue but you have no record of that notification. You're unable to safely drive, sell, or repair your truck due to this rust damage. Fixing this will likely require frame replacement or extensive rust repair and reinforcement.

Your Tacoma's frame has developed extensive rust with holes throughout, making it unsafe to drive. The dealer refuses to perform even basic maintenance like oil changes, and Toyota won't provide a written denial of your claim despite acknowledging the issue exists. Addressing this will likely require professional frame inspection and rust repair or replacement of affected frame sections.

Your truck's frame has severely corroded and crumbled, making it unsafe to drive. While you brought it in for a power steering leak repair, your mechanic discovered the frame was compromised and could fail. Toyota has a known recall for this frame corrosion issue, but the recall period has expired and the company refused to help, even though you were never notified of the safety risk or the recall deadline.

Your horn isn't working even though all the fuses are in good condition. Additionally, your airbag warning light has been on continuously since 2006 and won't turn off. The horn issue may require inspection of the horn relay or horn assembly itself, while the airbag warning light suggests the airbag system needs diagnostic scanning to identify and clear the underlying fault.

WHILE GETTING OIL CHANGED ON MY 2000 TACOMA, WHICH BY THE WAY ME AND MY STEP FATHER ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS, THE MECHANIC NOTICED THE FRAME SEPARATING WHILE LIFTING. WE HAD THE FRAME INSPECTED IN THE PAST BASED ON THE FRAME ISSUE LETTER WE RECEIVED FROM TOYOTA AND THE TRUCK PASSED EVERY TIME. THE LAST INSPECTION THAT PASSED WAS FEB 2011. AFTER THE MECHANIC REFUSED TO LIFT THE TRUCK TO SERVICE IT I TOOK IT TO A TOYOTA DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE FRAME HAS HOLES AND IS UNSTABLE. IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF A SHORT TIME BEFORE IT BECOMES UN-SAFE TO DRIVE. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN FOR THE MOST PART IN A GARAGE AND ONLY HAS 75,085 MILES. THE INTERIOR IS VERY GOOD AND THE BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE ENGINE PURRS LIKE ALWAYS. TOYOTA SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND I CAN GET A NEW FRAME AT MY EXPENSE. PROBLEM IS, I CAN'T GET THE FRAME FROM ANY OF THE AREA TOYOTA DEALERS AS IT'S NOT AVAILABLE. I NOW HAVE A VERY GOOD LOOKING TRUCK WITH A GREAT MOTOR THAT VERY SOON I WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO DRIVE. IT'S A SHAME. TOYOTA KNOWS THESE FRAMES ARE BAD AND BECOMING DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BUT THEY DON'T RATE A RECALL!

THE FRAME IS ROTTED IN THE REAR NEXT TO LEAF SPRING. THERE WAS A RECALL CALL ON THIS YEAR AT ONE I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD GET THIS FRAME REPLACED. TOYOTA SHOULD HONOR THIS FRAME RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE.

DURING AN ANNUAL VEHICLE INSPECTION, PERFORATIONS WERE FOUND ON THE FRAME OF MY TOYOTA TACOMA. I WAS ONLY MODERATELY WORRIED SINCE THIS ISSUE WAS COVERED BY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ISSUED BY TOYOTA. WHEN I CONTACTED TOYOTA TO DISCUSS THE ISSUE, THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE VEHICLE MISSED THE 15 YEAR WARRANTY BY 11 DAYS AND THAT THEY WOULD NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, HONOR THE WARRANTY. THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION IS TROUBLING SINCE IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE, WITHIN AN 11 DAY TIME PERIOD, FOR A FRAME TO BECOME RUSTED TO THE POINT OF A 3 INCH BY 12 INCH PERFORATION. THE FRAME ROT CLEARLY OCCURRED DURING THE 15 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD.
