While your Sequoia was parked with the driver door open, it suddenly began reversing on its own despite being in Park, even though you weren't inside the vehicle. You rushed to the driver's seat but couldn't stop the reversal, and the vehicle collided with a creek bed, causing you to sustain injuries. The dealer was unable to reproduce the problem when they inspected it, but this appears to be a potential issue with the transmission or shift lock mechanism that allowed the vehicle to move from Park without driver input.
