Your parking brake requires frequent adjustments and may fail to hold your vehicle on hills, especially after heavy braking such as towing or going down boat ramps. When the brakes are hot and you park on an incline, the parking brake loses its holding ability entirely. Getting the parking brake system inspected and adjusted by a technician may be needed to restore proper function.
