Your Land Cruiser may suddenly lose acceleration while driving—the engine keeps running but won't respond to the gas pedal, even with hard pressing. The problem occurs sporadically and can be temporarily fixed by turning the engine off and waiting about 20 minutes before restarting. A faulty accelerator sensor controls the acceleration function and may need replacement, though this issue may persist even after sensor replacement attempts.
