While accelerating to change lanes, your check engine light came on and you heard a popping noise like gravel. Smoke began coming from the back of your car, and another driver warned you to pull over. Once you found a safe place to stop, the engine compartment caught fire, destroying the vehicle and requiring fire department assistance. This issue appears to involve a serious engine malfunction that led to a vehicle fire.
