Your engine's connecting rod broke suddenly while you were driving in traffic, causing the engine to fail completely and your car to lose power. You had to use only the car's momentum to safely steer it to the shoulder of the road. This could have been dangerous if you hadn't been able to control the vehicle during the power loss. The fix would likely require a complete engine replacement or extensive engine rebuild.
