A fire started in the console area of your 4Runner while your granddaughter was driving with friends. Flames and smoke were visible, and the occupants had to use water to extinguish it—if they hadn't acted quickly, the fire could have caused severe burns or become life-threatening. Toyota took several weeks to hire an engineering firm to investigate the cause, and as of the complaint, the issue remained unsolved after nearly two months at the dealership.
