Owner Complaints (5)
Your windshield cracked completely across the bottom while your car was parked, with no visible damage or outside impact to cause it. The owner reports this appears to be a spontaneous failure unrelated to any chips, dings, or environmental factors. A glass repair shop indicated this is a known issue affecting multiple 2022 Crosstrek owners. The fix will likely require windshield replacement.

Your windshield seems unusually fragile and cracks easily from minor impacts like spitting. You've replaced it three times (original, Safelite, and Bright Glass), and it cracks again each time. When it cracks, the damage quickly spreads across the entire window unless you immediately seal it with clear nail polish. This is notably worse than your 2005 Honda CR-V, which has had a small crack for years without spreading. The windshield may need to be replaced with a different quality glass or the vehicle may have a structural issue affecting glass integrity.

Your windshield has been damaged by road debris multiple times in a short period. A pebble hit your windshield with less than 1,800 miles on the car, creating a chip that spread into a crack across the entire windshield overnight. This happened again several months later, and you're now on your third windshield replacement in under 36,000 miles. A full windshield replacement will be needed to restore visibility and structural integrity.

noticed a crack in windshield (out of no where, no stone hit our car). crack started in the middle bottom of windshield. crack was 5 times the size the next day! VERY DANGEROUS!
Windshield cracked after 3 weeks. Was hit by a very small rock when travelling at 30 mph, and a 10 inch crack appeared. In 40+ years of driving, I have never had a rock cause that much damage to a windshield, even at 60 mph.
