I had purchased a brand new 2021 Nissan Rouge SV AWD in 2021. I am now at 46,000 miles and I have had all system lights on and off since purchase. The first started with back hatch around 20 miles, went to go get it taken care of and it disappeared. I have broke down with electrical issues twice now, with error code of 'Warning Malfunction', 'forward collision warning', 'air bag', 'forward collision light' and 'check engine" on dash. On Sunday August 10 2025, I was driving on the highway at 70 MPH, and my vehicle slammed on the brakes automatically with kids in the car. Looking at the dashboard showed forward collision light, with no cars near me. I then went 35 MPH to get off nearest exit. I made it home safely with minor issues to kids neck from the brake issue. Yesterday on August 13 2025 I went to my local supermarket to get milk, and the car wouldn't start after I went shopping and showed a different error of 'Malfunction'. In the winter time the light of forward collision comes on, and I have no control over my vehicle at all. I then assumed I needed better tires and purchased them, however it made no difference. This SUV is very dangerous, and I am terrified to even drive it. The airbag light has now been on also, and in addition to yesterday's break down, the engine light is also on. I have an appointment again for my Nissan dealer now on Tuesday August 19 2025, and hoping this will be resolved. At 46,000 miles this should not be an issue, let alone danger my family. I also have videos, that won't allow upload here. Please help me.
FCW randomly turns off while driving in daylight under clear conditions. Each time I stop and check the sensor on the front to make sure I haven’t hit a bug or something that covered the sensor and each time the sensor is clear.
Warning popped up that malfunction and forward collision was disabled
The collision system just randomly turns off
As I was driving my daughter to school suddenly a warning popped up in the dash that there was a forward collision malfunction and the system turned itself off. There were no other vehicles near me or in front of me and the sensors were not blocked by rain (we are in drought conditions) or snow.
The forward collision system randomly turns off while driving. Even in clear conditions (I understand that rain or snow may block the sensor)
I've had issues since I purchased my Rogue (11/4/2020) with the AEB automatically stopping my Rogue when there is no obstacle in the way. It is mainly with the rear AEB, but has happened a few times with the front AEB.
The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The contact veered over to the side of the road and turned off and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that on two other occasions the failure occurred, and the vehicle was turned off and restarted and operated as needed without further issues. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer reported that no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 39,000.
This alerted while driving. Washed the car 4 times to make sure there was no dust interference. Two weeks and the system is still not working. Does not allow me to use anything that has to do with the AEB system. I believe it is the main sensor. No automatic headlight diming option. Cruise controll doesn't work with systems.
