2022-09-22 I took my 2013 Kia Sorento for both low beam lights out to Ed Voyles Kia Service - 2145 Cobb Parkway SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. Initially, the Service shop only replaced the bulbs and wanted to send me on my way. I explained that I already replaced both bulbs 2 times and the low beams keep going out and changing the bulbs is not going to solve the problem. I demoed how pushing on the hood alone makes the lights flicker. Then, the Service shop replaced the passenger low beam connector per Kia warranty extension. They did not replace the driver low beam connector. 2023-10-20 I took my 2013 Kia Sorento for driver low beam light out and airbag light on to Ed Voyles Kia Service - 2145 Cobb Parkway SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. They fixed the airbag clock assembly per Kia warranty extension but although they admitted that the fix to the driver low beam connector should had been done a year prior, now the warranty expired, and they did not honor it.
Passenger Headlight connector has melted - dealership refuses to repair without replacing entire headlight fitting.
The contact owns a 2013 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the front driver's side headlight was inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 178,000.
My headlights have not worked properly since I bought the vehicle in February of 2017. I took it to the dealership I got it from (Stephen Wade Chevy) and explained the problem. They replaced the bulb and maybe the wires but I can't remember (I still have the paperwork from it if needed). The headlight worked for a short time and then would sporadically quit working here and there. Now, the wires look burnt which could cause a fire and the headlight will not work at all. I took it to Kia dealership and they said since I had it "fixed" through the dealership I got it from, it voided my warranty and I would have to pay to have the entire headlight assembly replaced. I looked online and it appears that there are over 300,000 complaints on this issue (including my sister in laws car which has the same issue). I don't believe I should be responsible for the fix as its been an issue this whole time. On top of this, the other headlight is now also working sporadically and I've been driving in the dark and had NO HEADLIGHTS when the other just stops working. This is a huge safety issue. Kia has told me that they will not do a goodwill fix. I've taken this to the escalation dept. but if they still refuse, my next move will be a lawyer. Kia needs to fix this issue. I wanted you to be aware. I've been pulled over several times because if this issue. Paying for tickets and bulbs (that don't fix the problem) is getting old. I hope you can document this and help in some way. I've attached a photo of the wires now. The other photo is of the original bulb and wires that were replaced (and I paid for. The bill is attached as well) also, a letter I got in 2019 regarding the lights flickering. While driving I my head lights will automatically turn off and takes a while to come back on or may come back on a few seconds after they shut off on their own. I only notice due to it being dark outside that this was happening, due to hardly driving at night I don't know how long it's been happening until recently.
- I have replaced the passenger head light bulb several times, starting summer or 2019, early 2020, fall 2020 and 2021. I recently learned it is not the bulb, it is the wiring connector which this time is damaged I believe by heat. The vehicle is available for inspection. - It is very dangerous driving this vehicle as a single low beam does not adequately illuminate the roadway. This is my wife's vehicle and she is legally blind in one eye. Proper/reasonable roadway lighting is essential. - I tried to purchase the wire pig tail today, was told I had to replace the entire wiring harness, several hundred dollars. I did not have the vehicle serviced. - No warning lights or error codes, the bulb just kept going out and I thought this is odd. This time, instead of just swapping the bulb, I put the "bad" bulb in the drivers side and it worked fine. That is how I determined it was the wiring connector. Closer examination confirmed this. - Trying to identify a less expensive solution online, I learned that this is a well known problem, I would hate to have a vehicle fire and unsure I there is a reasonable repair option.
Brake/taillight on driver side keeps burning out, not as quick as the headlight on the driver side does but I have replaced the taillight on the driver side 4 times already this year
Since august 2021 passenger side headlight bulb has been replaced 3 times and has blown again only this time it has melted the headlight wiring harness
Paint peeling and chipping off my car and my insurance stated they will not cover a Manufacture defect…
Vehicle’s headlights keep burning out, right after replacing them. The headlight wires and bulb connectors keeps melting, causing a potential for fire. I had to replace the headlight wires and connectors 4 times due to this issue. This is a major safety issue and Kia needs to fix this ASAP. Thanks
Driver side headlight keeps burning out within 24 hours of being replaced. It has happened 6 times in a row now
I AM HAVING A CONSTANT ISSUE WITH MY HEADLIGHTS MAINLY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. ALL THREE LIGHTS (HIGH BEAM, LOW BEAM AND FOG LIGHT) ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ARE DIM. WHEN I DISCONNECT THE LOW BEAM BULB THE THE OTHER TWO BULBS LIGHT UP FULLY. WHEN I CONNECT THE LOW BEAM BULB BACK THERE IS A HUMMING SOUND THAT STARTS AND ALL PASSENGER SIDE BULBS GO DIM AGAIN. MY KIA SORENTO HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR GOING ON SIX YEARS NOW. USUALLY WE COULD CUT THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND THE LIGHTS WOULD TURN BACK BRIGHT. THE PAST COUPLE OF TIME WE HAVE HAD TO CHANGE THE BULBS. NOW NOTHING SEEMS TO HELP. WHEN CHANGING THE BULBS THEY ALL STAY DIM UNLESS I DISCONNECT THE LOW BEAM BULB WHICH I CAN'T DO FOR SAFETY REASONS. AND TO AVOID GETTING A TICKET I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE DIM. NEXT STEP IS TO TRY AND REPLACE THE HEAD LIGHT WIRING HARNESS OR TAKE IT TO THE KIA SERVICE DEAPARTMENT.
MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT. I HAVE REPLACED IT ALMOST A DOZEN TIMES. BRAKE LIGHTS HAVE WENT OUT TWICE WITHIN A YEAR.
WAS DRIVING HOME ON ICY SNOW COVERED ROADS WITH THREE CHILDREN IN MY VEHICLE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY PASSENGER LOW BEAM LIGHT WENT OUT MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD. ON TOO OF THE SNOW AND ICE MIXTURE I WAS ALSO TRAVELING THROUGH AN AREA OF CONSTRUCTION SO ALL THE STREET LIGHTS WERE OUT AND HAVING ONLY ONE HEADLIGHT MADE IT DIFFICULT AND SCARY TO NAVIGATE THE ROAD AND ALL THE CONSTRUCTION COMES. I DROVE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON AND THE NEXT DAY IMMEDIATELY BOUGHT A REPLACEMENT BULB. WHICH WAS A WASTE OF MONEY.....BECAUSE THE BULB IS NOT THE ISSUE. BEING A SINGLE MOM OF 3 I DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO BE WASTING AND NOW I'M NOT ONLY OUT THE MONEY FOR THE BULB BUT I STILL HAVE TO PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM MAKING IT UNSAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND I CANNOT AFFORD A TICKET FOR DRIVING EVERYWHERE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON. FROM READING ALL THESE COMPLAINTS IT SOUNDS LIKE THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY NEEDS REPLACED WHICH IS EXPENSIVE AND ALSO NOT SOMETHING I WILL BE ABLE TO AFFORD ANYTIME SOON. ON DEC 31 2020 I REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHT BULBS DUE TO THE PASSENGER BULB BEING OUT. ON APPROXIMATELY JAN 20TH 2021, BULB WAS NOT ON (DRIVER'S SIDE WAS ON). PULLED BULB AND PUT IT BACK IN, MAKING SURE IT WAS SECURELY SEATED. TURNED ON LIGHTS, BULB CAME BACK ON. THE NEXT DAY, NOTICED BULB WAS OUT AGAIN (DRIVER'S SIDE STILL WORKING). BOUGHT A NEW BULB, REPLACED OTHER BULB WHICH IS LESS THAN 3 WEEKS OLD. ON APPROXIMATELY JAN 30TH, NOTICED BULB WAS OUT AGAIN (DRIVER'S SIDE STILL WORKING). VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, NOR HAS THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY BEEN REPLACED, ONLY THE BULB. ON JAN 31 I PULLED EXISTING BULB, SNAPPED BACK INTO PLACE, TURNED VEHICLE BACK ON. BULB WHICH APPEARED TO NOT BE WORKING, TURNED ON. PULLED BULB AND PUT IN THE PREVIOUS BULB (BOUGHT DEC 31 2020) BACK IN, SNAPPED IN PLACE, TURNED VEHICLE ON, AND BULB WORKED. THIS WOULD SEEM TO INDICATE A PROBLEM WITH EITHER THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY, OR THE "PIGTAIL" FOR THE LOW BEAM BULB.
THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT BULBS BURN OUT QUICKLY. THE CONNECTOR TO THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT HAS MELTED AND BEEN REPLACED MANY TIMES, EVEN BY THE DEALERSHIP. THERE IS LIKELY TOO MUCH AMPERAGE AND OR POWER GOING TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, CAUSING THE ISSUE AND POSSIBLY DUE TO A FAULTY WIRING DESIGN.
DRIVER SIDE HEADLAMP WENT OUT. WENT TO REPLACE AND SAW CONNECTOR FOR FOR BULTB MELTED/BROKEN. READ ONLINE THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. DECIDED TO CHECK REST OF LIGHTS AND SEE THAT HIGH CENTER TAIL LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY WORKING WITH SOME BULBS/LEDS BURNED OUT.
I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHERE MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP WILL SUDDENLY STOP WORKING. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULB, OFTEN THE BULB IS NOT WORKING. I HAVE BROUGHT IT IN FOR SERVICE AND HAD SOCKETS REPLACED AND HAVE HAD THEM CHECK ALL OF THE WIRING AND GROUNDS. I JUST PAID TO HAVE THIS FIXED ON FRIDAY AND IT IS NOT WORKING AGAIN THREE DAYS LATER.
MY KIA SORENTO 2013 HEADLIGHTS KEEP SIMULTANEOUSLY GOING OUT. I KEEP HAVING TO REPLACE THE BULBS AND THE PLASTIC IS ALWAYS MELTED. PER MY RESEARCH, THERE IS NO RECALL OR NO REAL WAY TO FIX IT. I WAS TOLD I NEED TO REPLACE THE ASSEMBLY, WHICH ISN'T THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT IS THE WIRING AND I'VE EVEN READ THAT PEOPLE KEEP HAVING TO REPLACE THE ASSEMBLY. I CANNOT AFFORD THAT AND I'M UNHAPPY ABOUT IT.

LEFT HEADLIGHT/TURN ASSEMBLY STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. SAME ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN REPLACED BY DEALER ON TWO OCCASIONS. REPLACEMENT LIGHT BULBS HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE ISSUE, POINTING TO ISSUE WITH ENTIRE ASSEMBLY.
HEAD LIGHT KEEP BURNING.. THE PASSENGER ONE.. LADY 3 MONTHS I HAVE CHANGED THREE TIMES THE HEAD LIGHT
THE RIGHT SIDE PASSENGER HEADLAMP CONTINUES TO BURN OUT FREQUENTLY AND THE COMPONENTS LOOK MELTED. IN SEARCHING THIS SITUATION ONLINE, THERE ARE A LOT OF REPORTS OF THE SAME THING HAPPENING ALTHOUGH KIA DOESN'T ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING WITH ONLY 1 HEADLIGHT, WHICH ISN'T SAFE.
MY 2013 KIA SORENTO'S HEADLIGHT AND REAR BRAKE LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY GOES OUT. FIRST THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT AND THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE FOLLOWS SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING ME WITH NO LIGHT WHICH IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD FOR MY FAMILY. THE LAST TIME I REPLACED THEM THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT AND DRIVER BRAKE LIGHT WENT OUT 4 DAYS LATER.
I'VE ONLY HAD THIS USED VEHICLE FOR ONE YEAR AND WITHIN THAT ONE YEAR OF HAVING TO HEAR SORRENTO I'VE HAD TO CHANGE MY HEADLIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS MORE THAN THREE TIMES EACH. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL KIA DEALER AND SHOWED THEM FOUR DIFFERENT LIGHTBULBS THAT WERE BURNT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BULB THAT YOU PUT INTO THE PORT. PORT WERE NOT BURNT JUST THE BOTTOM PART OF THE LIGHTBULB NOT THE PRONG JUST THE BOTTOM PART OF THE LIGHTBULB WAS BURNT. I ASKED FOR THEM TO DO AN ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC FOR ME TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND WHY MY LIGHT BULBS KEPT BURNING ON THE BOTTOM WHICH IN RESULT MADE MY HEADLIGHTS AND BREAK LIGHTS NOT WORK. (NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I REPLACE ONE THEN A FEW WEEKS TO A MONTH LATER A DIFFERENT ONE WOULD THE SAME.) BUT ALL THEY DID WAS CHARGE ME OVER $100 TO REPLACE THE LIGHTBULBS THAT WE'RE NOT WORKING AT THE TIME SO THEY CAN HAVE IT ON FILE WHICH ONE WERE REPLACED AND HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR THEM TO BURN OUT AGAIN. MIND YOU THESE LIGHTBULBS DO NOT HAVE ANY WARRANTY AND I DID ASK FOR THEM TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND THEY DID NOT DO IT THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO SEE IF THESE ONES WOULD BURN OUT. SO BASICALLY I HAD TO PAY OVER $100 FOR SOME LIGHTBULB THAT WON'T BE REPLACED BECAUSE THERE'S NO WARRANTY ON THEM WITHIN TWO WEEKS TO A MONTH FROM NOW EVEN THOUGH I SHOWED THEM WHEN I HAD PURCHASED THE LIGHTBULBS THAT WAS ON MY CAR ALREADY THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE LIGHTBULB BEFORE THE LIGHTBULB AND THAT THEY ALL HAD THE SAME EXACT MARKINGS ON THEM. WHY THEY WOULD NOT DO A DIAGNOSTIC I DON'T KNOW THEY JUST PROBABLY WANT MORE MONEY.
THIS CAR HAS AT LEAST 8 RECALLS ON IT NOW, NOT INCLUDING PAST RECALLS. THIS VEHICLE HAS STOPPED ON ME WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET WHILE TRAVELING WITH MY FAMILY. THE REASON OT STOPPED WAS DUE TO A MALFUCTIONED ENGINE THAT WAS ON RECALL. MY TURNING SIGNALS LIGHTS GO OUT WITHOUT WARNING , THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS ALSO DUE TO LIGHT WIRING THATS ON RECALL. KIA HAD ME TAKE MY CAR TO A DEALERSHIP TO GET THE MALFUNCTIONING ENGINE FIXED. THE CAR IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING AND HAS LIST IT SPEED WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. I FEEL LIKE IT WILL CUT OFF ON ME AT ANY GIVING TIME. I JUST GOT ANOTHER RECALL LETER THAT STATES THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE REPLACEMENT PART THEY PUT ON MY ENGINE. I AM A WORKING MOM WITH KIDS AND DEPEND ONMY TRANSPORTATION TO LIVE. I AM SCARED THATTBIS VEHICLE WILL STOP ON ME AND MY KIDS ON THE HIGHWAY OR STREET.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WON'T WORK. THE HIGH BEAMS ARE FINE. TOOK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A MALFUNCTION IN THIS MODEL HEADLIGHTS BUT IT'S NOT COVERED AND IT WAS THE ONLY YEAR THEY USED THESE HEADLIGHTS. SO THEY TOLD ME IT'S GOING TO COST $2000 TO FIX MY HEADLIGHTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KIA SORENTO. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT RESUMED DRIVING TO HER RESIDENCE USING THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS OF THE HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,000.
PASSAGERS HEADLIGHT CONTINUED TO GO OUT; HAVE REPLACED WIRING AND BULB 4 TIMES. THE DEALERSHIP HAVE ALSO REPLACED THE WIRING . AT THIS POINT , I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE HEADLIGHT WITH THE KIA 2013 SORENTO.
HEADLAMP WIRE HARNESS MELTED. LEFT LOW BEAM HEADLAMP BULB AND CONNECTOR WAS BURNT/MELTED. I PAID THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THIS. I AM CONCERNED IT IS A FIRE HAZARD, AND ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD IF IT GOES OUT AGAIN.
ONE OF MY TAIL LIGHTS WENT OUT. RIGHT AFTER I CHANGED IT, MY DRIVER SIDE HEAD LIGHT WENT OUT. I CHANGED THE BULB AND IT WORKED FOR A SHORT TIME. I DID THIS 2 MORE TIMES IN 2 MONTHS.THEN I HAD A REPAIR SHOP CHANGE THE BULB AND THEY SAID THE CONNECTOR WAS MELTED AND IT WAS UNSAFE. THEY INSTALLED A NEW CONNECTOR AND BULB. WITHIN 2 WEEKS THE PASSENGER SIDE WENT OUT. THE CONNECTOR WAS ALSO MELTED ON THAT SIDE. THIS WENT ON WITH THE TAIL LIGHTS AND HEADLIGHTS FOR MONTHS. I FINALLY HAD TO GET A NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE. WITHIN 2 WEEKS THE PASSENGER SIDE WENT OUT AGAIN, AND IS STILL OUT AT THIS TIME BECAUSE THE CONNECTOR IS MELTED AND NO ONE WANTS TO FIX IT SINCE IT'S A FIRE HAZARD.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS QUIT WORKING. THE CONNECTION PLUGS COMPLETELY CORRODED. HAPPENED TO BOTH SIDES.
THE DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT CONTINUOUSLY MALFUNCTIONS. I HAVE HAD THE HEADLAMP SOCKET AND CONNECTOR REPLACED TWICE - AUGUST 2017 (61,785 MILES) AND JANUARY 2018 (69,938 MILES). I HAVE REPLACED THE BULB ONLY TWICE, ALSO - JULY 2017 AND DECEMBER 2017. THE PROBLEM HAS RE-OCCURRED A THIRD TIME AND APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT VARIOUS KIA MODEL VEHICLES. THE ISSUE WITH MY 2013 KIA SORENTO OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY AT FIRST, EACH TIME WHILE UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. IT HAS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY SURFACE STREETS AND WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS. EVENTUALLY THE HEADLIGHT JUST QUITS WORKING COMPLETELY AND I AM FORCED TO HAVE SERVICE PERFORMED. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO OCCUR ABOUT EVERY 4 MONTHS AND CREATES UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT OCCURS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION DURING RAINY, LOW-LIGHT OR NIGHTTIME CONDITIONS.
THERE IS A SHORT IN MY HEAD LIGHT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE .
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT I LOST BOTH HEAD LIGHTS. TOOK TO DEALER IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THEY HAVE A BURNT WIRE HARNESS. SPOKE TO KIA, KIA SAYS NO RECALL LISTED FOR MY VEHICLE YEAR.
PASSENGER HEADLIGHT FAILED. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP. THEY STATE THE WIRING HARNESS IS "MELTED" AND "THERE'S NO REPAIR OR PIGTAIL REPLACEMENT, YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY." ENTIRE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES FROM KIA ARE $600. THE VEHICLE JUST HIT 61K MILES. MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY WOULDN'T COVER THIS ISSUE. SO I TOOK IT HOME AND TOOK IT APART. THERE IS VOLTAGE TO THE HEADLIGHT, AND THERE IS VOLTAGE TO THE HEADLIGHT PLUG. THE GROUND SIDE OF THE HEADLIGHT PLUG LOOKS OVERHEATED, THE PLASTIC MOLEX CONNECTOR IS BORED OUT AND SHOWS CORROSION. WHEN THE BULB IS PLUGGED IN, IT WORKS SOMETIMES. I HAVE TO MESS WITH IT. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECT. I SEE LOTS OF OTHER COMPLAINTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KIA SORENTO. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR, THE DOOR HANDLE FRACTURED AND DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE HEADLAMP WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE DEALER DECLINED TO REPAIR THE DOOR HANDLE FREE OF CHARGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.

THE REMAINING HEADLIGHT IS HIT OR MISS OPERATIONALLY. DRIVING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY, WHEN I REALIZED THAT MY HEADLIGHTS WEREN'T WORKING. HAD TO USE HIBEAMS FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP.

UPON NOTICING A HEADLIGHT OUT AND THE CAR PARKED AND OFF IN MY DRIVEWAY, I WENT TO CHANGE THE BULB AND NOTED THAT THE WIRE TO THE LAMP HAD MELTED AND STARTED TO MELT THE LAMP ITSELF. I HAD THE OTHER HEADLIGHT ON THIS SAME CAR DO THE SAME THING. THE FIRST TIME THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REPLACED THE CAR HAD APPROXIMATELY 45,000 MILES ON IT AND WAS ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD.
HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS NEED TO BE REPLACED REGULARLY. MOST RECENTLY THE HEADLIGHT WOULD GO ON AND OFF. WHEN GOING TO REPLACE THE BULB THE LIGHT HARNESS AND BULB WERE MELTED TOGETHER.

ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
