Your passenger side front headrest unexpectedly deployed while driving with no warning signs beforehand. Once deployed, the headrest cannot be reset and the dealership cannot inspect or repair it until deployment occurs. The driver side headrest may also deploy, creating a potential safety risk, and you may have to pay out of pocket for repairs even though this is a known issue.

Your Jeep is stalling unexpectedly while driving at highway speeds without any warning lights, making it difficult to control the car safely. The engine makes strange sounds when it stalls, and it takes about a minute to restart each time. The dealership hasn't been able to diagnose the cause. The problem may require fuel system diagnostics, ignition system testing, or engine computer reprogramming to identify and fix the stalling issue.

Your check engine light keeps coming on with the same error code (P0430), which typically indicates a problem with your catalytic converter. You mention that other Jeeps have had recalls for this issue, and you're concerned your 2013 Grand Cherokee should be included. Fixing a catalytic converter can be expensive, and you're looking for help addressing this recurring problem.

The axles are all simultaneously rotting to dust. Manufacturer should’ve included grease and a cap.. no reason all 4 of my tires should be in the verge of falling off. A bit of a safety concern id say. Could’ve been easily prevented. Had a mechanic of 50 years tell me he’s never seen axles in such bad condition. I can’t even replace them myself due to the amount of rust that has replaced the bolts. No where else on the jeep has that much rust. From the hour of research I put in, I learned it’s an extremely common issue with the jeeps and in fact the 2017s were recalled for a similar issue. Seems like the 2013s should’ve been included.
My vehicle while I am driving completely stalls on me and I have to wait at least 45 minutes to turn my vehicle on. In 2001 Jeep was forced to do a recall however the situation is still the same with the jeeps stalling. This is a situation that can be life threatening when on a highway if an accident occurs.
The radio cuts in and out. Many people I hear are having this problem with jeep grand Cherokee radio not working. Its the factory radio
I was parked when my driver-side headrest activated and hit me in the head. I have had a headache ever since.
The battery failed in my vehicle after receiving recall repairs at the service department. The dealership stated that the malfunction happened after first installing a new alternator which was a bad part and shut the vehicle pcm down and they had to replace those components but won’t give me a new battery after stating that it was there mistake but battery’s aren’t cover under warranty components if damaged while repairing other components inside the vehicle. I have contacted the manufacturer and filled out a report for the components and complaints I have experienced with my vehicle in this service dealership. I need help and I have the documents showing that nothing was wrong with any component of my electrical system prior to them supposedly repairing the manufacture safety recalls.
The dashboard is covered with leather and the glue that holds it in place has failed. The leather is starting to flap up when the defroster and the air conditioner goes on. It is lifting up and obstructing my view of the road while driving. This should not happen in a car. It must be a design flaw using cheap glue and not having clips to hold the leather in place
My vehicle has been recalled based on the incident on file since 2019 but every time I go to Jeep dealership Wilmington Delaware they always say there are no part for the recall. We are now in 2022 and I’m still driving the car with this dangerous recall
The few sensor is no longer functional jeep no longer stops in its own sensor states its dirty. Dashboard is warped leather bubbled off
A letter was sent during Covid lockdown that my Jeep may have an issue with the dash and wrinkling of material. I called when I felt safe to come in and Southpoint Dealership in Tulsa, OK told me that it was only offered for a short period of time and that this could no longer be addressed. It is distracting to have the bunching of leather in my view while driving. Apparently other vehicles are having similar issues. Why was this only allowed to be addressed during Covid Lockdown? I did take it to the dealership, and they took images of the material bunching on the dash. Nothing was done for it. Currently my car is at Southpoint (last two weeks for one recall). I can take images when I get it back if you would like.
THERE IS A BIG HOLE ON TOP OF THE BACK WHEEL PASSENGER SIDE, LIKE YOU CAN SEE INSIDE MY CAR, ONE OF YOUR WORKER CRUSHED INTO MY CAR WHILE IT WAS PARKED
The active head restraint on the driver side deployed while stopped. There was no rear end collision. It hit me in the back of the head and startled me, glad I was stopped. There seams to be a defect in the plastic parts in the head rest where the metal bar in there is installed. This certainly could have caused an accident if I was in motion on they highway and was distracted by this sudden deployment.
Both the front driver and front passenger headrests have deployed in the past 1 year; however, the vehicle was not involved in an accident or collision to cause such deployment. The vehicle was parked when each headrest deployed. This is clearly a defect of the vehicle. The Jeep dealership estimated the cost to repair at approximately $800 per headrest, which I will not pay, because this is not an issue caused by me. It is a vehicle defect, and needs to be recalled immediately as evidenced by the many news articles online related to this topic. It is very dangerous and could cause serious harm to someone.
MY JEEP HAS DIED ON ME AS I'M TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT RATES OF SPEED BETWEEN 60-75 MPH. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD FORTUNATELY SO FAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. IT WILL USUALLY START BACK UP IN ABOUT 15 MINS. A FEW TIMES IT TOOK LONGER. THERE IS NO WARNING, IT JUST LOSES POWER AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH AND WITHOUT CRUISE CONTROL IN USE.
HEAD REST ES VERY DANGEROUS IT OPENED IT SELF IT'S MADE WITH CHEAP MATERIALS ALSO I CHECKED IN GOOGLE AND TOO MANY CARS THEY'RE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. VERY DANGEROUS
FRONT PASSENGER HEADREST ACTIVE RESTRAINT DEPLOYED RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. DIDN'T GET IN A COLLISION OR STOP HARD. DRIVING ON A TWO-LANE COUNTY ROAD AT AROUND 50 MPH.
I WAS IN TRAFFIC GOING ABOUT 25-30 MPH WHEN I LIGHTLY TOUCHED MY GAS PEDAL AND MY CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE AT ALL. SINCE I WAS GOING TOO SLOW I WASN'T ABLE TO GET TO THE LEFT LANE AND THE SHOULDER ON THE RIGHT LANE WAS NARROW SO I SAT HALF IN THE RIGHT LANE HALF ON THE SHOULDER WITH A DEAD CAR FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO TURN BACK ON. I WAS ON A HIGHWAY 495N IN MARYLAND DURING RUSH HOUR.
MY TRANSFER CASE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, IT JERKS WHEN I BREAK AND HIT MY GAS, I CAN BARLEY TURN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT THE WHOLE CAR SHAKING. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $4K TO FIX, THE PART IS BACK ORDERED, THERE'S 4 CARS BEFORE ME GETTING THE SAME PROBLEM FIXED. THERE'S OVER 150K PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME THING. THEY TOLD ME IF I DRIVE MY CAR IT WOULD CAUSE IT TO SHUT DOWN AND THEN IT WOULDN'T BE FIXABLE. BUT JEEP REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY KNOW THIS IS THEIR FAULT. ON TOP OF THAT, MY FUEL RELAY IS RECALLED WITH NO SOLUTION AND MY JEEP COULD TURN OFF ON ME AT ANY MOMENT. THEY TOLD THE TRANSFER CASE IS NOT RECALLED BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT. THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND REFUSE TO FIX IT.
AC STOPPED WORKING AND WAS MAKING NOISE. ENDED UP TO BE THE COMPRESSER. I ONLY HAVE 21,000 MILES ON MY 2013 GRAND CHEROKEE. DEALER IS CHARGING ME $ 1,000.. CHRYSLER SHOULD COVER THIS. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THIS PART IS ON BACK ORDER. THIS TELLS ME THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE COMPRESSER FOR THE AC. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON 06/10/2020 CHARGED ME $250 HAD TAKE IT BACK 07/07/2020 AIR STILL WASN'T WORKING. THIS IS WHEN THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A LEAK IN THE COMPRESSER. NOW IT'S ANOTHER $1,000.. MY CAR STALLED OUT ON A TURN AND I COULD NOT MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. I ALMOST HIT A CAR DUE TO THIS. JEEP HAS AN OPEN BUT UNFIXABLE RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO NUMEROUS PEOPLE AT CHRYSLER, MOPAR, AND DEALERSHIPS. THEY WILL NOT HELP. BASICALLY, TOLD ME THE FIX MAY OR MAY NOT HELP, BUT IT'S A TEMPORARY ONE. THERE IS NO REAL FIX TO IT. I AM TOO SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR NOW. I CANNOT DRIVE MY CAR KNOWING THAT IT CAN STALL OUT (AS IT ALREADY HAS), WHAT IF I HIT SOMEONE AND HURT MY FAMILY OR SOMEONE ELSE. SO PRETTY MUCH, THEY HAVE AN OPEN RECALL BUT WILL NOT HELP AND THERE IS NO FIX TO IT.
LEATHER ON DASHBOARD HAS SEPARATED AND BUBBLED DUE TO MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. JEEP WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE STATING IT IS "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ON THE OVERLAND TRIM THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HIGH END TRIM MODEL
STATIONARY, BUT UPON ACCELERATING THE ENGINE HESITATES ALL THE TIME. IF FEELS LIKE THERE IS HESITATION, SOMEWHAT, WHEN SHIFTING GEARS.
WHILE DRIVING FORWARD MY BACKUP CAMERA CAME ON AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. WHEN IT DID SHUT OFF, I HEARD THIS SIZZLING NOISE AND THE ENTIRE SYSTEM WENT OUT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THEN IT WENT OFF AND CAME BACK ON AND HAS BEEN ON EVER SINCE.
PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR ACCIDENT CANNOT GET IT BACK IN PLACE OR TO LOCK IN
FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT TURN OFF, ONE SPEED ONLY, REAR WIPER NOT WORKING, BRIGHTS NOT WORKING, HAD TO REPLACE A FAULTY TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM).
2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SEVERAL SAFETY RECALLS AND PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAD 5 RECALLS THAT EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO BE COMPLETED. *JS
MULTIPLE EPISODES OF EXTENDED CRANK WITHOUT START. ALSO SEVERAL EPISODES OF STALLING WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING - 1X IN DRIVE BUT ANOTHER TIME ON HIGHWAY AT NIGHT IN TRAFFIC. ALL EPISODES HAVE HAPPENED IN 2017 STARING AUGUST THROUGH 'NOW'. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALER SERVICE 4 X WITHOUT RESOLUTION. CURRENTLY WITH DEALER BEING OPERATED WITH A "FLIGHT RECORDER" AS THEY DID EXPERIENCE PROBLEM BUT COULDN'T IDENTIFY THE MECHANICAL SOURCE - THEY CONTACTED "CHRYSLER" FOR ADVICE. I'M LUCKY, I'M DRIVING A LOANER FOR 3 WEEKS NOW FROM MY DEALERSHIP.
MY VEHICLE HAS 4 OPEN RECALLS AS LISTED BELOW. I HAVE PRESENTED IT MANY MONTHS AGO TO TWO DIFFERENT JEEP DEALERS, DICK MYERS, HARRISONBURG, VA AND BILLY BENDER, CUMBERLAND, MD (WHERE I PURCHASED IT). AT BOTH DEALERSHIPS, THEY CLAIMED A NATIONAL BACKLOG FOR RECALL PARTS AND THAT THEY WOULD ORDER THEM AND CALL ME. I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE. I SUSPICION THAT THIS IS A FINANCIAL DECISION BY JEEP, NOT THE DEALERSHIPS. I THINK THEY ARE DELAYING, HOPING TO NOT HAVE TO MAKE THESE REPLACEMENTS. I WANT TO DECLARE THE JEEP A LEMON DUE TO THIS AND FORCE THEM TO BUY IT BACK SINCE THEY CAN'T SEEM TO FIX IT. I WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO PUT SOME TEETH IN THESE RECALLS. WHAT GOOD ARE THEY IF THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE REPAIRED? NUMBER OF OPEN RECALLS: 4 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 14V-154 RECALL DATE: MAY 16, 2014 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: P14 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 14V-391 RECALL DATE: AUGUST 19, 2014 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: P36 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 14V-634 RECALL DATE: DECEMBER 1, 2014 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: P60 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 15V-115 RECALL DATE: APRIL 10, 2015 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: R09
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS APPROACHED WITH 2 ELECTRONIC KEY FOBS FOR THE SAME VEHICLE, OR WHEN TWO KEY FOBS ARE PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE, OR IN CLOSE PROXIMITY, THE REAR LIFTGATE CAN SPONTANEOUSLY OPEN. AFTER OPENING, THE REAR LIFTGATE MAY OR MAY NOT RESPOND TO CLOSE KEY PRESSES ON THE KEYFOB(S). THIS COULD OCCUR AT ANY TIME, INCLUDING WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING, POTENTIALLY ALLOWING INTERIOR WIND BUFFETING AND ALLOWING CARGO TO FALL FROM REAR OF VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES, WHILE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE IN MOTION. ON AT LEAST ONE OCCASION, WHILE IN MOTION, DRIVER HAD TO STOP AND EXIT THE VEHICLE AND MANUALLY CLOSE THE LIFTGATE.
REFERENCE IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL R09/NHTSA 14V-115, IT IS REFERENCED AS NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 15V-115 IN SAFERCAR.GOV. I RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL NOTIFICATION 04/10/2015. AS OF TODAY, 09/04/2015, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A 2ND NOTIFICATION NOR WHEN TALKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP IS THERE ANY TIMETABLE OR DIRECTIVES TO REMEDY THE SAFETY RECALL. IT IS DESCRIBED THAT THE INTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY MAY BE FAULTY BUT THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT AT THE TIME OF NOTICE. WHEN IS THE REMEDY PART EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE AND WHEN CAN I EXPECT A FOLLOW-UP NOTIFICATION OF ANY KIND?
