Your wife experienced smoke coming from both sides of the hood while driving, and the vehicle wouldn't restart afterward. You believe this may be related to a known ABS recall that hasn't been performed on your vehicle. You're concerned the dealership isn't properly investigating the incident and may be attempting to conceal it.

Your Hyundai is subject to recall 251, which addresses a potential fire risk. You were notified that a fix was available and scheduled an appointment, but when you dropped off your car, the dealership discovered the repair parts still weren't in stock and couldn't provide a timeline for availability. The recall has been pending for months without resolution, leaving you and your passengers at potential risk. Hyundai needs to improve communication between the manufacturer, dealerships, and owners to prevent false repair notifications and complete this safety fix promptly.

Your 2011 Hyundai Tucson is covered by recall 23V651000 related to the service brakes. You've been waiting since July for a dealership appointment to fix this issue, but the parts are on back order with no clear timeline — the dealer initially said September, then November, and now you have no updates. You want guidance on other options to get this recall remedy completed.

Your speedometer became erratic once, and your cruise control, trip odometer, and possibly your main odometer have stopped working properly. You were initially told by Hyundai customer service that this would be covered under a service bulletin at no cost, but later received an email saying there's no service bulletin and it's not covered by warranty. The dealer estimates it will cost $200 to diagnose and $700–$800 to repair, and mentions it could be one of two different switches causing the problem. The fix will likely involve replacing or repairing the instrument cluster switch or related electrical components.

The owner is frustrated that an unspecified problem with their vehicle has persisted for an extended period without resolution. Unfortunately, the complaint does not describe the actual issue affecting the car, making it impossible to provide specific guidance on what may need repair.

No known malfunction at this time on my vehicle - however a recall #251 has been issued with no repair available. Recall strongly recccommends parking car outside and away from structures due to possible fire which can also occur during driving. This problem has been going on with Hyundai cars for several years - AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION??? I called my two local dealerships and neither was aware of recall campaign 251. I asked if my ABS module completely failed - what module would they replace it with? I was advised that they would probably sell me a new one costing $1900 plus labor THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Hyundai is not taking this seriously - This is not being repaired in a timely manner. PLEASE RESTRICT THEM FROM SELLING ANYMORE CARS IN THE USA UNTIL THIS RECALL HAS A REMEDY!
On April 18th at 1:58pm I had just dropped off a passenger then proceeded to stop sign at a complete stop I heard a loud boom like a gunshot I was in the state of shock then I started hearing glass fall all over my car so I got out of my car to see what was the loud boom I noticed that my entire sunroof was shattered it was so scary because I normally would have the shade open but something about that day told me not to open the shade because of I would have it would have been an ugly sight for me and other vehicles as I was about to merge into traffic it could have been tragic I’m devastated
I have noticed that on various occasions I pressed on the the brake and the car seemed to accelerate until I slammed hard on the brake. Today 12/4/2021 I almost got into an accident as a result.
I had my car repaired due to an open recall in April. I got in my car yesterday and while driving the car shut off and there seemed to be a liquid leaking from under the car. I had the car towed to Key Hyundai of Milford where the recall work in addition to other work was done. I am really worried because I could have gotten hurt if other cars where nearby. Also the dealership is saying it may take up to 2 weeks for them to inspect my vehicle. I need suggestions as to my best course of action.
RECALL ORDER 181 RECEIVED LAST YEAR.BEEN CHECKING BUT ALL I GET IS " REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE ' YOU CLAIMED THIS IS A DANGEROUS DEFEAT. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE ''. A YEAR AND KEEP THINKING, IS THIS DEFEAT GOING TO HAPPEN WHILE I,M DRING ON THE I-4 HIGHWAY.?
MY CAR HAD A RECALL THAT WAS GOING ON FOR ABOUT A YEAR WITH MY CAR STALLING AND SMELLING OF BURNING OIL. EARLY THIS YEAR A LETTER WAS MAILED STATING RECALL IN BEING INVESTIGATED, (CAMPAIGN 181) THE END OF SEPTEMBER I GOT THE OFFICIAL LETTER ABOUT THE RECALL AND WHAT I NEEDED TO DO. IT TOOK A 1 WEEKS TO GET THE CAR IN. MY CAR STALLED TWICE DURING THAT TIME. DAYS BEFORE MY CAR GOT FIXED MY CAR STALLED TWICE, AND I START HEARING A LOUD NOISE IN WHICH I FOUND OUT AFTER THE RECALL WAS FIXED THAT MY VALVE COVERS NEEDED REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT IT COULD NOT BE FIXED BECAUSE ENGINE WAS BAD. I HAD A CORPORATE REPRESENTATIVE WHO DID NOTHING, AND I HAD TO CALL 500 TIMES TO HAVE IT ESCALATED TO A CORPORATE MANAGER. AFTER I GOT A CORPORATE MANAGER IS WHEN GRAYSON HYNDAUI DECIDED TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. MY CAR HAS BEEN PARKED AT HOME SINCE 9/24/2019 AND I HAVE PAID TO RENT A CAR SINCE THAT DAY AN TILL THIS DAY. I WANT THIS RESOLVED ASAP.
HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA IS CONDUCTING A SAFETY RECALL TO INSPECT, AND IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY IN CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 THROUGH 2013 HYUNDAI TUCSON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.4 LITER THETA-II ENGINES PRODUCED FROM MARCH 3, 2010 TO DECEMBER 31, 2012 BY HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY AT THE ULSAN PLANT IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA. SAFETY RISK THE SUBJECT VEHICLES MAY HAVE AN ENGINE OIL LEAK FROM THE SEAL BETWEEN THE OIL PAN AND ENGINE BLOCK WHICH, IF LEFT UNREPAIRED AND OPERATED OVER TIME COULD EVENTUALLY LEAD TO ENGINE DAMAGE. A DAMAGED ENGINE COULD LEAD TO HIGH SPEED STALL AND IN LIMITED CASES, A VEHICLE FIRE. MY AIR CONDITIONER HAS STOPPED WORKING AND TWO OF MY DOORS LOCKING MECHANISMS ARE NO LONGER WORKING.
TUCSON RECALL: THE CAR SEIZES WHILE IN MOTION, AND REVS IN MOTION WITHOUT THE DRIVER PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR/GAS PEDAL - MEANING THE DRIVER EITHER IS COASTING OR HAS A STEADY PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL, AND THE SEIZING AND REVING OF THE CAR IS MORE THAN AND NOT EQUAL TO THE PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE PEDAL - SO THE CAR IS "RACING" EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVER IS NOT INCREASING PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR ALSO STALLS WHEN FIRST STARTED, UNLESS THE DRIVER REVS THE ENGINE USING THE GAS PEDAL IN PARK. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING OVER THE LAST YEAR - DESPITE THE CAR BEING SERVICED EVERY 3,000 MILES - SERVICE PROVIDER CANNOT PROVIDE DIAGNOSIS OR SOLUTION.
TAKATA RECALL : I HAVE TO DRIVE 47 MILES ON A FAST PACED HIGHWAY IN SOUTHERN FLORIDA IN ORDER TO GET TO MY JOB, DAILY. MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK I EXPERIENCE A STALL WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK MY CAR TO A LOCAL HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP RECENTLY AND THEY DID NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT THE UPCOMING RECALL. FOR MONTHS, I HAVE BEEN HAVING TO DRIVE MY CAR AND FEEL UNSAFE. I HAVE TO GO TO WORK, AND I DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE OPTION. I FEEL UNSAFE AND AM INCREDIBLY UPSET THAT HYUNDAI HAS NOT FOUND A RESOLUTION YET. IF THIS PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED SOON I WILL BE FORCED TO GET ANOTHER VEHICLE, REGARDLESS OF MY FINANCIAL SITUATION. MY NEXT VEHICLE WILL NOT BE A HYUNDAI, SOLELY BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF TIME THIS RECALL RESOLUTION IS TAKING.
