Owner Complaints (7)
You took your 2019 Sonata to the dealer for a manufacturer safety service campaign (Z05) involving windshield work. During the service, the windshield was damaged, and the dealer initially refused to cover the repair cost, pressuring you to pay for damage that occurred while your car was in their care. Although the dealer eventually offered a free windshield replacement, communication about the repair status remained unclear, and you were left without a loaner vehicle while your car sat at the facility. The core issue is that you were held financially responsible for damage that happened during dealer-authorized work.

The exterior paint of my white 2019 Hyundai sonata has been peeling continuously in different places since 2023 when I bought it. The Hyundai dealer is aware of this problem but refuses to recall or give compensation for this problem.
Paint started chipping away from hood and roof 2 months after purchase I am the 2nd owner so warranty is voided
Engine burns oils horribly. Cannot sell car due to oil issues. Paint is chipping on exterior of the vehicle.
Paint bubbled, flaked off on the hood. There’s evidence that another patch is ready to come off. Hyundai has dealt with this issue before.
The paint of my 2019 Pearl White Sonata is peeling off on the hood. I see that there was an extended warranty extension on the same car of 2017 and 2018. I would like to know why not including 2019 of the same color on the same car.
Paint code WW8. Paint peeling from trunk and other areas of car. Have also seen numerous Hyundai and Kias around Jacksonville, FL with the same and often severe paint peel. Needs recall and HYUNDAI to fix.
