While replacing your axles, the mechanic found severe rust damage on both lower control arms near the ball joints. More concerning is a fist-sized hole that has rusted completely through the main suspension crossmember on the driver's side where the control arms attach. Your entire main crossmember will need to be replaced due to this corrosion.

UPON HAVING MY VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR AN ILLUMINATED "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT, MY MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT MY REAR STRUTS WERE LEAKING DUE TO A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. MY CAR HAS 28,000 MILES ON IT. IT WAS APPARENT TO HIM THAT THEY HAD BEEN LEAKING FOR A WHILE, ALTHOUGH THIS WOULD BE AN UNDETECTABLE PROBLEM TO MYSELF, THE DRIVER. MY DEALER REFUSES TO REPAIR IT UNDER THE WARRANTY DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS DISCOVERED 2 WEEKS AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED.*JB
