Your mechanic mentioned seeing this problem in multiple Honda Odyssey vans. The door will need to be repaired or replaced to restore proper function.

Your sliding door on the driver's side started making grinding noises and became hard to open and close. When you pressed the button to open it, the door fell off its frame at the top and middle rails, staying connected only at the bottom. The mid-rail slider appears to have failed, causing the door to detach and leaving deep scratches on your car's body. Since the door is heavy, this poses a safety risk. The sliding door track and rollers will likely need to be inspected and replaced to prevent this from happening again.

The Honda Odyssey I own has paint coming out from the roof and tail. Looking around on the road, I saw many other white Honda Odyssey with similar problems. When doing a search on the web, I saw the recall notice for Honda Odyssey 2011-12. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10161239-0001.pdf My Honda Odyssey is a 2010 model but with same color and similar problems with exterior paint. This would result in corrosion and ultimately the safety of the vehicle. I am attaching the pictures of my vehicle. I did contact Honda and they advised me to get the vehicle inspected at their service center. I am scheduled to visit them for diagnosis soon, but wanted to share what I found as there recall with 2011-12 is something that clearly extends to other years model as well.
The drivers side sliding door fell off upon opening. Honda says they are not liable for this issue yet I have found over 5,000 complaints in various fourms concerning this issue. My children were almost injured and something needs to be done about this issue please.
THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR FELL OFF WHEN TRYING TO PUT MY KIDS IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND NOT ON. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO PUSH MY 3 YEAR OLD OUT IF THE WAY OR HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SEVERLY INJURED. INSTEAD, HE JUST HAS SCRAPED NEED AND IS CONFUSED WHY I PUSHED HIM. I HURT MY WRIST AND BACK CATCHING THE DOOR. PICTURE IS AFTER I WAS ABLE TO SOMEHOW GET IT CLOSED.

BOTH SLIDING DOORS ARE GETTING STUCK WHILE OPENING AND CLOSING. AND THEY ARE MAKING NOISE TOO.
THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR (MANUAL DOOR, NOT POWER) WAS MAKING A GRINDING SOUND WHEN OPENING AND THEN IT FELL OFF THE CAR. I WAS OPENING THE DOOR TO GET MY CHILD OUT, THANKFULLY, WE WERE AT HOME.
HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT ISSUE WITH THE AUTOMATIC FEATURE NOT BEING ABLE TO FULLY CLOSE THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. TODAY, I TRIED TO OPEN IT BUT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS MAKING GRINDING NOISE AND ONLY OPENING 1/3 OF THE WAY ON THE AUTOMATIC SETTING. I DISENGAGED THE AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOOR FUNCTION AND OPENED IT MANUALLY. SLID OPEN NO PROBLEM. I REENGAGED THE AUTO SETTING WHEN I WENT TO CLOSE THE DOOR. IT STARTED TO SLIDE CLOSE AND A LITTLE LESS THAN HALF WAY, IT FELL AT ME, COMING COMPLETELY OFF THE CAR OTHER THAN A SMALL GUIDE WIRE IN THE CENTER. I CAN NOT GET IT BACK INTO PLACE AND AM LOOKING INTO GETTING IT TOWED TO BE REPAIRED. WHEN THE CENTER ROLLER CAME OFF THE TRACK IT LEFT GIGANTIC GASHES IN THE PAINT/METAL ON THE SIDE OF THE VAN.
THE SIDE DOORS FELL OFF THE TRACK. BOTH OF THEM WITHIN DAYS. ONE WHEN OPENING IT AND THE OTHER DRIVING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY. I'M JUST GLAD IT DIDNT HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THAT SERIOUSLY COULD HAVE HURT SOMEONE. I LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP AND FOUND IT IS VERY COMMON ON THESE VAN'S AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS HAPPEN. ONE DOOR IS NOW HELD ON WITH A STRAP AND THE OTHER ONE WE GOT CLOSED AND BACK ON BUT WE CANNOT OPEN THEM. MY KIDS HAVE TO CLIMB OVER THE FRONT SEATS TO GET TO THEIR SEATS. I AM VERY WORRIED THEY WILL FLY OFF DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY LIKE I'VE READ OTHERS HAVE. THE SIDE OF MY VAN IS ALL SCRATCHED UP FROM THEM FALLING OFF TOO.
THE PAINT IS PEELING FROM THE ROOF AND THE HOOD
THE VEHICLE HAS MAJOR LEAK FROM THE FIREWALL DOWN TO THE FLOOR COMPARTMENT. WATER GETS IN BOTH TAIL LIGHTS WHEN IT IS RAINING. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALER TWICE AND THEY NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. HONDA REFUSED ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS. I WILLL NEVER BUY A HONDA EVER AGAIN. THIS IS MY THIRD HONDA AND LAST TOO.
"TAKATA RECALL" PAINT IS STRIPPING AND PEELING OFF OF VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AS HONDA IS A WELL KNOWN AND RELIABLE BRAND. THERE ARE OTHER MAKES AND MODELS WHOS PAINT STANDS THE TEST OF TIME. WHAT IS HONDA'S EXCUSE FOR THIS PROBLEM THAT HAS EFFECTED NUMEROUS HONDA OWNERS? HOW WILL THEY MAKE THIS RIGHT?
SLIDING DOOR FELL OFF TRACK WHEN OPENING, CORD IS BROKEN AND BROKE MY WINDOW
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING, THE DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR DETACHED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
BOTH SLIDING DOORS COMING OFF TRACKS. ONE COMPLETELY FELL OFF AND WAS DAMAGED. THIS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO A PERSON OR CHILD. I NOTICED MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS HERE AND ONLINE.
RIGHT (PASSENGER) SLIDING CARGO DOOR FELL OFF TRACK AND GOUGED THE SIDE PANEL OF THE VAN. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN DRIVEWAY. NOTICED IN WEEK PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT THAT THERE WAS A GRINDING SOUND WHEN OPENING DOOR, AND IT WOULD SOMETIME CATCH AND RE-OPEN WHEN CLOSING AS THOUGH IT HIT AN OBSTACLE. DEALER MENTIONED MAYBE SOME SAND OR GRIT IN ASSEMBLY. IN DRIVEWAY, WE OPENED DOOR THEN WALKED AWAY TO THROW SOMETHING IN TRASH HEARD A NOISE AND CAME BACK TO FIND THE DOOR HAD FALLEN OFF AND WAS HANGING FROM THE CABLE USED BY THE POWER OPEN/CLOSE MECHANISM. SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGED CAR FURTHER TRYING TO GET IT TO CLOSE ENOUGH TO TO TAKE TO REPAIR SHOP AND PREVENT DAMAGE FROM IMPENDING RAIN AT TIME OF INCIDENT. WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIGHT THE POWER MECHANISM AND TO TURN THE HEAVY DOOR THE CORRECT WAY TO GET ALL THE PIECES IN THEIR CORRECT RAILS AND POSITION, NEVER DID GET ENTIRELY CLOSED. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP. DEALER ADVISED TO TAKE TO BODY SHOP. BODY SHOP SENT ME BACK TO DEALER WHO WOULD NOT TAKE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL DAYS BUT THEN ENDED UP FIXING THE DOOR THE SAME DAY FOR ABOUT $575. THE BODY DAMAGE HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED.
I CANNOT OPEN THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR. (IT IS NOT A POWER SLIDING DOOR) IT WAS STEADILY GETTING HARDER TO OPEN. I BARELY GOT IT CLOSED AS IT WOULD ONLY OPEN A SHORT DISTANCE AND I COULD BARELY SLIDE IT CLOSED. NOW I AM AFRAID TO TRY TO OPEN IT AS I AM AFRAID IT WILL GET STUCK OPEN AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO CLOSE IT AT ALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (PEARSON HONDA IN MIDLOTHIAN, VA) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS UNUSUAL AND DID NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR WAS GRINDING AND MALFUNCTIONING. WENT TO OPEN IT FROM INSIDE AND IT FELL OFF ONLY HANGS MY BY A LITTLE CABLE. GOT IT SOMEWHAT BACK ON TRACK BUT IT WON'T LATCH AND FRIEND GOT HURT IN THE PROCESS OF IT FALLING OFF. DEEP SCRTCHES ON THE SIDE AS WELL. WHAT CAN WE DO.
MY ODYSSEY WAS PARKED AND OFF I PUT MY PACKAGES AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE SLIDING DOOR. IT WOULD NOT CLOSE. AFTER I LOOKED IN THE MANUAL FOR HELP I FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTIONS AND THE DOOR CAME OFF THE TRACK AND HUNG BY JUST A VERY THIN CABLE I COULD NOT DRIVE IT FOR FEAR OF IT FALLING COMPLETELY OFF AND DAMAGING SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR OR CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. IT ALSO DID A LOT OF BODY DAMAGE. HONDA DEALER IN KENOSHA DID THE REPAIRS. THEY ONLY PAID FOR HALF AND WE HAD TO COVER THE OTHER $1500
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR CLOSES AND THEN OPENS SLIGHTLY. THE LOCK WILL NOT ENGAGE. DASHBOARD LIGHT ALWAYS SHOW THAT DOOR IS AJAR. WHEN MAKING A TURN YESTERDAY THE DOOR ACTUALLY OPENED ALL THE WAY. MY BABY WAS SITTING ON THAT SIDE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
SPONTANOUSLY THE SUNROOF SHATTERED. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 70MPH, THE SUNROOF SHATTERED. IT WAS CLOSED AT TIME, ALL GLASS BEHIND CAR.
NOW WE'VE ALL HAD MANY CARS AND SOME DO BETTER THAN OTHERS. THE HONDA PAINT HAS TO RANK LAST ON A LONG LIST OF PAST PAINT JOBS. IT HAS LITERALLY PEELED OFF THE TOP OF THE CAR BY THE WINDOW AND SUNROOF AND HAS LOST ITS CLEAR COAT SO THE PAINT JUST DOESN'T LOOK GOOD. WHEN YOU ASK THEM ABOUT IT THEY RESPONDED WE DON'T COVER THAT . HONDA, YOU MAKE SUCH A GOOD CAR BUT CANT GET THE PAINT RIGHT? C'MON. I SEE MORE WHITE HONDA VANS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AS MINE. THIS IS AWFUL WE HAVE NOW MADE A GAME OUT OF IT CALLED I SPY, WHO CAN FIND THE WHITE HONDA ODYSSEY WITH THE SAME PAINT PEELING SPOTS LIKE OURS. WE DO A LOT OF DRIVING LOCAL AND ROAD TRIPS.YOU WOULD BE AMAZED HOW MANY THERE ARE OUT THERE. HONDA THERE IS SOMETHING YOU COULD DO. ITS EMBARRASSING TO DIVE THIS CAR AROUND. BUT ITS A GREAT RUNNING CAR WITH NOTHING WRONG PUT THE PAINT PEELING. NOT COOL.
THE FRONT DOOR DETENTS ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH, AND THEY WILL ALLOW THE DOOR TO CLOSE BY ITSELF. IF YOU ARE ON AN INCLINE, OR IT IS A WINDY DAY, THIS IS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN, AND MYSELF, WHEN GETTING IN OR OUT OF THE VEHILCE. OF NOTE, HONDA USES THE SAME DETENT, WITH THE SAME PART NUMBER, ON A CIVIC, WHICH HAS A MUCH SMALLER AND LIGHTER DOOR, AS IT DOES ON THE ODYSSEY, WHICH HAS A MUCH LARGER DOOR. I CURRENTLY OWN A 2003 CHRYSLER VAN, AND A 1998 BMW, AND NEITHER OF WHICH HAVE THIS PROBLEM. AND FOR THAT MATTER, NONE OF THE OTHER CARS I HAVE OWNED HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. THE SOLUTION IS A SIMPLE REDESIGN OF THE DOOR DETENT TO ACCOUNT FOR THE HEAVIER ODYSSEY DOOR. ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL. ALSO OF NOTE, I DID REPLACE THE DOOR DETENT, AND THE NEW DETENT IS AS BAD AS THE OLD DETENT. A REDESIGN IS REQUIRED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED AND ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE AN OBJECT FROM THE TRUNK, THE OBJECT WAS FOUND TO BE WET AND MOLDED. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE WHOLE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND THE REAR HEADLINER WERE WET. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAMS THAT MEET THE ROOF RAILS WERE SEPARATING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000.
THE NYLON GUIDE ROLLERS ON THE PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR BROKE. THESE ROLLERS APPARENTLY CONTRIBUTE TO KEEPING THE DOOR UP AND INSIDE THE GUIDE RAIL. THIS CAUSED THE DOOR TO DROP AND BE SUSPENDED BY THE MOTORIZED CABLE THAT OPENS/CLOSES THE DOOR AND CANTILEVERED OFF OF THE BOTTOM GUIDE. THIS HAPPENED AFTER BEING PARKED AND ACTUATING THE DOOR. THERE WAS A SOUND OF THE NYLON GUIDES CRACKING AND THE SLIDER HITTING THE BODY PANEL. THE VEHICLE HAS 62,000 MILES ON IT. I CONSIDER IT UNSAFE THAT THE DOOR BECAME UNUSABLE AND WOULD NOT RETURN CLOSED UNLESS UNBOLTED AND PUSHED IN. IT THEN DID NOT LATCH AND HAD TO BE CHAINED/TIED DOWN. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE DOOR. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND I MUST HAVE HAD A COMMUNICATION ISSUE. IT WAS CHARACTERIZED IN THE ITEMIZED STATEMENT DIFFERENTLY THAN MY VERBAL DISCUSSIONS WITH THEM ABOUT THE ISSUE. IT WAS WRITTEN UP AS A DOOR JAM. HOWEVER, THE SERVICE PERSON WAS QUITE FAMILIAR WITH THE ISSUE I EXPERIENCED AND SAID IT WAS NOT UNCOMMON. I WAS ADVISED IF THE DOOR BECAME COMPLETELY DETACHED TO GO TO A BODY SHOP FIRST. MY INSTANCE WAS NOT THAT SEVERE.
SIMILAR TO CAMPAIGN ID # 12V062000 (FOR OLDER 2008-09 ODYSSEYS), THE TAILGATE ON MY 2010 ODYSSEY HAS FAILED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. OPENING IT VIA ELECTRICAL BUTTONS (IN-CAR DASHBOARD OR REMOTE BUTTONS) RESULTS IN THE TAILGATE RAISING, BOUNCING UP AND DOWN, THEN CLOSING RIGHT BACK DOWN. OPENING IT MANUALLY PRODUCES ADDITIONAL RESISTANCE TO OPENING THAT WASN'T THERE BEFORE THE FAILURE; THEN THE TAILGATE REFUSES TO STAY UP IN THE OPEN POSITION AND SLAMS DOWN WITH ADDITIONAL FORCE THAT CAN HURT AN ADULT, AND SERIOUSLY INJURE A CHILD. THE FIRST TIME WE HAD AN ISSUE WE WERE IN THE COUNTRY AND WE STOPPED AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR. WHEN WE GOT BACK IN THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. WE PUT THE SWITCH ON MANUAL HOWEVER THE DOOR WOULD STILL NOT CLOSE. WE HAD IT LOOKED AT AND THE LINE THAT WORKS THE DOOR NEEDED TO BE CUT TO CLOSE THE DOOR. WITHIN A WEEK THE OTHER DOOR STARTED NOT OPENING AND CLOSING PROPERLY EVEN WHEN IT WAS SET FOR MANUAL USE. WE WERE THE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE DOOR FLEW OPEN. WE DID CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY INDICATED THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM HOWEVER ITS THE CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILTY TO PAY TO HAVE THIS SAFETY ISSUE FIXED. *TR

I AM 71 YEARS OLD AND THE DOOR IS VERY SELDOM USED BY MY WIFE AND I. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE DOOR COULD HAVE COME LOOSE AND DEPLOYED THE AIR BAGS WHILE I WAS DRIVING. MY 21 MONTH OLD CHILD WAS STANDING AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE IN OUR GARAGE AS I GOT THINGS OUT OF THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO CLOSING THE DOOR. I PUSHED THE BUTTON THAT AUTOMATICALLY CLOSES THE DOOR AS I LEANED INTO THE DRIVER SIDE TO RETRIEVE ITEMS FROM THE VEHICLE. I HEARD MY CHILD SCREAMING AND I LOOKED DOWN AND SAW THAT THE DOOR HAD CLOSED ON HER ENTIRE HAND UP TO HER WRIST. NOT ONLY DID THE SAFETY FEATURE FAIL THAT IS SUPPOSE TO DETECT BODY PARTS IN THE PATH OF THE DOOR, BUT THE DOOR ALSO WOULD NOT OPEN. I HAD TO USE ALL OF MY BODY WEIGHT TO PRY THE DOOR OFF OF HER HAND. THIS INCIDENT RESULTED IN A BLOODY AND BRUISED FINGER THAT HAD THE NAIL RIPPED OF IT. *TR
THIS IS AN ON-GOING SAFETY ISSUE AND POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT DEFECT INVOLVING THE CHECK ROD MECHANISM ON THE FRONT DOORS OF THE VEHICLE. THE CHECK RODS DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE RESISTANCE TO KEEP THE DOOR OPEN. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND THE FRONT DOOR IS IN THE FULLY OPENED POSITION, THE DOOR IS PRONE TO SWING SHUT. THIS OCCURS IN A VARIETY OF SITUATIONS: ON A LEVEL SURFACE, IF THE DOOR IS PUSHED OPEN, THE DOOR WILL SOMETIMES SWING BACK ON THE OCCUPANT; THE FULLY OPENED DOOR WILL ALSO SWING SHUT WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ON EVEN A SLIGHT INCLINE OR IS BLOWN BY A GUST OF WIND. THE CHECK RODS DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE RESISTANCE TO KEEP THE DOOR IN THE OPEN POSITION WHEN FULLY EXTENDED. THESE ARE VERY HEAVY DOORS AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. MY WIFE AND I HAVE BOTH EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS INSTANCES IN WHICH THE DOOR HAS STARTED SWINGING SHUT IN EACH OF THESE SITUATIONS. I DISCUSSED THIS CONCERN WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AT MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND I REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO AMERICAN HONDA (CASE # [XXX]). I COMPARED THE FRONT DOOR CHECK ROD MECHANISM IN THE 2012 HONDA ODYSSEY ON THE DEALER?S LOT. THE CHECK ROD ON THE 2012 ODYSSEY FUNCTIONED PROPERLY, CREATING AN APPROPRIATE LEVEL OF RESISTANCE WHEN THE DOOR WAS FULLY EXTENDED. THE SERVICE MANAGER ORDERED A SET OF 2012 ODYSSEY CHECK RODS, WITH THE HOPE THEY COULD BE INSTALLED ON MY 2010 ODYSSEY. UNFORTUNATELY, THE 2012 RODS DID NOT MATCH AND COULD NOT BE INSTALLED ON MY VEHICLE. AMERICAN HONDA HAS DECLINED TO TAKE ANY REMEDIAL ACTION. I STRONGLY SUSPECT THAT THE DEFECT IN THE CHECK ROD USED IN THE 2010 ODYSSEY MODEL LED TO A REDESIGN OF THE CHECK ROD MECHANISM FOR SUBSEQUENT VEHICLE YEARS. ON AT LEAST 2 OCCASIONS, THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO UNLOCK EVEN WHEN USING MULTIPLE METHODS TO UNLOCK IT. EVEN WHEN THE KNOB ON THE DOOR WAS LIFTED MANUALLY, THE DOOR WOULD NOT UNLOCK AND OPEN. AFTER TRYING DIFFERENT THINGS (KEY FOB, AUTO DOOR UNLOCK BUTTON, MANUALLY LIFTING THE LOCKING KNOB), IT FINALLY OPENED. WE THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A GLITCH WHEN SOMEONE TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR AT THE SAME TIME THAT THE DOOR UNLOCK BUTTON WAS PUSHED, BUT SINCE READING A REPORT OF A SIMILAR INCIDENT ON AN ODYSSEY, THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH THE LOCKING MECHANISM. ONCE THE KNOB WAS LIFTED MANUALLY, THE DOOR SHOULD HAVE OPENED REGARDLESS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE WAS BEING CLOSED BY A CHILD OCCUPANT WHEN IT CLOSED ON THE CHILD'S HANDS. THERE WERE NO SEVERE INJURIES BUT THE CHILDS HAND WAS SWOLLEN. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SENSOR THAT WOULD STOP THE DOOR FROM CLOSING IF THERE WAS AN OBSTRUCTION. THE CONTACT DID NOT CONTACT THE DEALER OR THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 13,801.
2010 HONDA ODYSSEY WITH 7,300 MILES AND THE CLEAR COAT IS FAILING, FROM WHAT THE DEALER CALL EXTERNAL CAUSES NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR SLIDING DOORS WERE MANUFACTURED WITH A SENSOR TO PREVENT THE DOORS FROM CLOSING WHEN THE DOOR WAS OBSTRUCTED. THE CONTACTS FINGERS WERE OBSTRUCTING THE REAR DRIVER SLIDING DOOR AND INSTEAD OF SENSING HIS FINGERS WERE IN THE DOOR, CLOSED ON HIS FINGERS RESULTING IN SEVERE BRUISING AND ABRASIONS TO THE LEFT HAND. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER BUT WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO ASSIST. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 GRAB BAR CAUSED TODDLER TO BREAK LEG. TWO YEAR OLD WAS IN HER CAR SEAT BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT. SHE PUT HER FOOT ON TOP OF THE GRAB BAR BEHIND THE SEAT, HER SHOE (SIZE 7 1/5) CAUGHT, SHE PULLED AND THE FORCE BROKE HER LEG. THIS HAPPENED IN THE TIME IT TOOK ME TO OPEN THE DOOR AND GET INTO THE CAR. I THINK THAT IF THE GRAB BAR WAS SHAPED DIFFERENTLY (THICKER BAR PART AND NARROWER HOLE ) THAT THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. *TR
THE SLIDING DOORS TO OUR 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY HAVE FAILED TO CLOSE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE ROLLER THAT THEY RUN ON BRAKES AND CAUSES THE DOOR NOT TO CLOSE. IT WILL OPEN BUT NOT CLOSE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US THREE TIMES AND IT WAS TODAY TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE SAFETY ISSUE IS THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN ANYPLACE SUCH AS A STOP ON THE SHOULDER OF A MAJOR HIGHWAY TO SWITCH DRIVERS. WHEN THE DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE THE CAR WILL NOT ALLOW THE TRANSMISSION TO GET OUT OF PARK INTO GEAR. THERE WE ARE STUCK ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND NOT ABLE TO MOVE. IF WE GET OUT OF THE CAR WE CAN GET HIT BY A CAR. IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND NEEDS YOU IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. *TR
