The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the exterior touchpad switch assembly was faulty and needed to be replaced. The touchpad switch assembly was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V060000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES).
