Your transmission is shuddering and refusing to shift into gear, even though it was just serviced at the dealership with less than 5,000 miles on the service. This suggests the transmission service may not have been completed correctly or a problem developed shortly after the service was performed. The transmission will likely need to be re-serviced, inspected for internal damage, or possibly replaced if the service revealed an underlying mechanical failure.

When you shift into reverse, your car displays a warning message saying the gear will engage at low speed, and this happens repeatedly. You have to turn off the engine and restart the car before reverse will actually work.
