While driving at 70 mph on a dry highway, the outer sidewall of one of your Goodyear Assurance tires (225 70R16) blew out completely, even though the tire had less than 5,000 miles on it. The tread and inner sidewall remained intact, suggesting a manufacturing or material defect rather than road damage. The tire failure could have caused loss of control, especially at highway speed. You may need to replace the tire and have the remaining three inspected for similar defects.

Your tire valve stem corroded and failed, causing your tire to deflate when touched. The dealer replaced the corroded valve to fix the problem. This issue occurred at 55,000 miles and suggests the valve stem material may be prone to corrosion over time.
