Your 2024 Dodge Charger lost all power and wouldn't start on the morning of February 24, 2026. After jump-starting the vehicle, the dashboard displayed a "Check Charging System" warning message. When you plugged the vehicle into a Level 2 EV charger, it caught fire and destroyed your detached garage. A Stellantis investigator determined the fire likely started on the front right side of the vehicle.

Your 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV has experienced multiple serious problems since delivery, including the vehicle completely shutting down twice (requiring electronic module updates and battery replacements) and most recently shaking while intermittently accelerating and decelerating on its own while driving — behavior you documented on video. This uncontrolled acceleration and deceleration poses a significant safety risk to you and others on the road. The vehicle is currently in the dealership for repairs, and resolving these issues will likely require extensive electrical system diagnosis, battery replacement, and reprogramming of the vehicle's control modules.

Filed: Feb 2026

Your 2024 Dodge Charger is displaying error codes related to electrical system failure, automatic emergency braking failure, and brake failure. You've experienced actual brake failure during low-speed backing. The dealership has been unable to diagnose the root cause of these issues so far.

Filed: Oct 2025

Your car is experiencing multiple serious issues: the brakes are unresponsive while parked, causing the car to lurch forward unexpectedly and triggering warning lights and disabled traction control, leaving you stranded in traffic. The power seat mechanism gets stuck in the fully reclined position and won't move forward, creating a safety hazard where passengers can't exit the vehicle quickly—you've had to manually adjust the seat to free trapped passengers. Additionally, the charging system has been unreliable since purchase, giving constant errors at most charging stations and leaving you stranded with low battery. Fixes will likely require brake system diagnostics and potential replacement, seat motor and control module repair or replacement, and charging port or battery management system repair.
