Your car had an airbag recall, and after the dealer attempted to fix it, your airbag warning light came on and stays on. This is a safety concern because you won't know if your airbags will deploy properly in a crash. You need to have the dealer diagnose why the airbag light is still illuminated after their recall repair.

Your 2019 Dodge Charger had an open Takata side airbag recall at the time of purchase, but the dealership failed to disclose this safety issue during the sale or financing process. You discovered the recall yourself through NHTSA and learned that faulty airbag inflators could send metal fragments into the cabin. You had the airbags replaced at another Dodge dealership. Resolving this issue required replacing the faulty airbag inflators with recalled parts.

During a severe monsoon storm in Arizona, strong winds and rain caused your driver-side curtain airbag to partially deploy and become visible, though it didn't fully inflate. Your vehicle is currently in the shop to have these airbags replaced under a recall. You're concerned whether insurance should have been contacted before the replacement work, given that weather caused the issue rather than a crash.

After bringing your 2019 Dodge Charger to the dealership for a recall airbag and headliner replacement, you received it back with a broken windshield, water damage causing mold, corroded or missing components, and both rear doors that no longer work properly. These problems did not exist before the service and create safety and usability concerns. The dealership's work during the recall repair appears to have caused significant damage to your vehicle.

I received a notice March 14th of 2024 indicating that the side curtain airbag on my charger may fail and cause shrapnel to go into the passenger and driver's area and possibly causing injury. To date I have not heard a word and every time I check up on this recall it says that no remedy is available. I have made repeated calls and emails to Dodge FCA in regards to this and I have never received a response. This is getting quite annoying since my wife rides in my car with me and if the airbag fails the potential for an accident or injury is great. I don't know where else to turn other than you to try and get this remedied. Friends have told me that parts are available but when I go on the Dodge owners app it says nothing is available. I need to get this fixed for peace of mind. My phone number and email is listed at the bottom. NHTSA Recall Number 24V-198 has been active since March 14, 2024, and in nearly a year the manufacturer still has yet to make a repair available. I spoke with the manufacturer today and the representative could tell me nothing beyond what NHTSA lists in its own website tracking the recall. Per the manufacturer there is no part available. There is no estimate for when the repair will become available. This vehicle is a police patrol car and I expect better manufacturer support for our peace officers.

The side curtain airbags have a risk of rupture due to a manufacturing defect, sending metal fragments into the cabin. We are not able to drive this with our children without risk of injury. The vehicle wad inspected at a Dodge dealership May 2024 and they did not have the new part to replace the defective part. I received a recall letter from Dodge.
Dodge sent out a recall letter 6 months ago. I have take my vehicle to the dealer for repair. They did not have an available part. I have been consistently reaching out to Dodge and they have no answer on when the part will be available. They are no longer responding to my inquiries regarding the replacement of this faulty part.
There has been an open recall for my car since the first quarter of last year for the side curtain airbags. I have written to Dodge a number of times as well as contacted my dealer. Dodge has not responded to my emails in regards to getting this repaired. It seems as though that it's getting swept under the carpet and nothing's being done about it. The way the recall notice I received said that possible death could happen in as a result of the side curtain airbags suddenly deflating and shrapnel going into the car. That doesn't give me too much confidence in my car and I feel in light of that wording I should get some sort of response from Dodge.
Recall remedy still not available. This is absolutely unacceptable
I have been waiting 3 months for the dealer to contact me with repair parts for my car for this air bag recall.
Airbag safety recall not being remedied by the parts manufacturer for Dodge/Mopar - Stellantis. This remains an unresolved safety issue extending throughout calendar year 2024. Local dealership is unable to repair despite multiple contacts due to part unavailability. Also contacted the airbag parts manufacturer (Stellantis) directly with a complaint. Assuming that Stellantis is being fined for each day that my car is not safe to drive? Hoping so! The wait period for the recall remedy is beyond reasonable. Passenger safety is a current at risk in my vehicle ...
Received recall early 2024: Manufacturer Recall Number19B NHTSA Recall Number24V-198 Problem was supposed to have been resolved early 2024. Have not received any new information and according to website information, recall is incomplete but repair parts are not available. Can someone tell me if this is a serious problem and when can I expect the parts be made available to fix this problem?

I own a 2019 Dodge Charger, and it has an open recall for the airbag inflator, which poses a serious safety risk. Despite the recall being issued over six months ago, replacement parts are still unavailable. Due to this safety concern, I am unable to drive my vehicle far from home, significantly impacting my usage. Additionally, I used to rent this vehicle on Turo to generate income, but it has been delisted from the platform because of the unresolved recall. I am still responsible for monthly loan payments of $420 and insurance payments of over $400 every month which is causing me financial loss without the ability to safely operate or rent out my car. I have contacted dealerships multiple times, but the parts continue to be delayed with no estimated resolution.

The airbags failed to deploy upon impact and after impact. The vehicle is located in insurance agencies' salvage yard. Others safety and my safety was put at risk because the airbags in my vehicle not deploying caused me to smack my head on something in the vehicle and I abstained a contusion to my head and a concussion I was disoriented and blacked out at some point. The other person in the vehicle abstained injuries to their leg. Had we of not been wearing our seatbelts we would have been ejected from the vehicle. We could have lost our life's due to the air bags not deploying. I don't know if the problem has been reproduced by anyone. The vehicle was inspected by police and the insurance agency. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. I just found out that there was a recall put on the vehicle for air bags releasing shrapnel when deployed NHTSA recall number 24v-198; but the airbags in this vehicle never even deployed upon collision. So, there is obviously worse issues than shrapnel being ejected from them because they didn't even deploy.

I was in an accident. The other car hit me at least going 60 mph into my drivers door. NONE of my airbags deployed in the accident. My car could not move and was totaled from the accident. I was injured with a TBI from the car accident. I received no help from the manufacturer at all.
I was in a car accident where i hydroplaned through 3 lanes of traffic on the highway and spun out of control and smashed into a median wall which effectively cause my car to be totaled. On my dashboard it was giving warning signs the airbag was deployed and my car was unmovable but that wasn’t the case. Not one airbag deployed. I ended up needing stitches but I feel like that could have been avoided if my airbags did it’s job. What else has to happen besides direct impact for them to protect the driver.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A BAD ACCIDENT IN WHICH MY CAR WAS HIT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS BY 2 DIFFERENT CARS. THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS RIPPED AND SCRAPED AS WELL AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. THE ENTIRE CAR IS TORN APART AND NOT ONE OF THE AIRBAGS ATTEMPTED TO DEPLOY DESPITE BEING HIT ALL OVER. I SPUN OUT OVER 6 LANES OF TRAFFIC AS THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP. EVERY SENSOR AND METER IN THE CAR WAS FLASHING AND GIVING ME AN ERROR MESSAGE IN WHICH THE CAR WAS NO LONGER OPERABLE. IF ANYONE HAD BEEN IN THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH ME, NO ONE WOULD BE SAVED.
