Your Volt has been experiencing sudden engine shutoffs without warning while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. On January 18th, after driving 129 miles throughout the day, the car lost power steering, acceleration, and heat before the engines cut off completely while parked; after replacing the 12V battery it started fine, but then shut down again on January 20th while accelerating on a main road with no warning lights. You're also seeing persistent dash warnings for "Service High Voltage Charging System" and "Service Airbag," plus a check engine light that have been on since you bought the car in October, and the car won't charge when plugged in (though it charges while driving). A full diagnostic of the high voltage charging system, 12V electrical system, and engine control computer is needed to identify what's causing the unexpected shutdowns.
