2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Steering Problems

The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe seems to be known for thermostat failure. My thermostat gauge while driving would drop from 210 to 160 and stay pinned on 160 and the fans would turn on. I was told by an auto body shop that it seemed to be electric issues.

Six days ago my 2015 Chevy Tahoe had a sudden loss of power steering assist while driving down the road after having to come to a sudden stop. The sudden loss and stop required me to jar to the R side of the road. Later in the evening while driving home from work, suddenly my power steering began to work again - causing the steering wheel to have a lot of "play" in the turning of the wheel.

While driving home from corner store, power steering locked up with very little play left or right. My vehicle is undrivable and parked at this time until I figure out what to do. I understand that gm issued a recall for such safety issues in 2018.

On several occasions at various speeds, both driving straight and turning, my 2015 Chevy Tahoe has turned off. During higher speeds the SUV will turn back on, instantly, by itself but during lower speeds and turning the car has to be manual turned back on by switching into neutral, pressing the break, and pushing the start button.

Total strut failure at 58k miles; making car hard to maneuver. Dealership wants $1900 to fix the mag ride suspension, no powertrain coverage at all for this issue. Also, a bearing in the steering column has failed and there is no warranty coverage from that either.

I have a 2015 chevy tahoe.it has put my family in harms way a dozen times in the last 3 months.the vehicle shows a "stabilitrak" warning..then the steering wheel locks,the engine and all electrical shuts down,and you loose complete control over the vehicle at highway speeds.it has almost killed us.gm and our local chevy dealership are doing nothing about it.the chevy mechanics keep telling us there is nothing wrong with it.we are honeslty afraid the vehicle is going to kill us or someone else.

When turning the wheels or backing up there is a popping noise that sounds like it is coming from the front left and right wheels and you can hear it and feel it in the steering wheel

I am having an issue with my steering wheel. It started off as a fair click when turning left. With time it for progressively worse.

I recently purchased this vehicle about five months ago. I took it to Riverside Chevrolet to get a diagnostic on it because my steering wheel is locked all the lights on the dashboard are on in the vehicle is not drivable almost a month and a half of Riverside Chevrolet and they could not get a diagnostic on it. Apparently the technicians there were not able to figure out what’s wrong with it.

So I got a 2015 Chevy Tahoe that had recalls done but the problems are still there. The power steering works like every 10th time starting the SUV.

The steering locks up while turning. Also grinds most of the time. The steering shaft retainer in the column fails and allows the shaft bolt to rub on the lower end of the column.

I bought the tahoe from a buy here pay here Its a salvage car from the action The guy who sold it to me said he would fix and never did I took it in to a shop because I almost recked and the transmission I think messed up because of the brakes and steering There is also another car he sold that my friend bought for me to fix because the guy sold it with out airbags

During a low speed left turn across oncoming lanes of traffic, my 2015 tahoe had a complete loss of all power and stopped right in the middle of oncoming traffic. Luckily oncoming traffic was at a distance that they were able to notice my tahoe had died blocking their lanes, and they corrected their path to go around.

In 2018 I bought this 2015 chevrolet tahoe.and like one month after I start having problems. The power steering stop working while I was driving causing the steering wheel be hard to turn.I took the tahoe to the place where I bought it.they didn't take responsability the thing is I end paying near of $3.000 to fixit I have receipt.my question is the tahoe has a recall for power steering.

When turning on the brights on my 2015 chevytahoe the dash screen will flash on and off, as well as shut off the cruise control when on. In addition, the stabilitrak will flash an error message. In addition to all of this the headlights flash while driving.

Power steering went out while driving and gm won't replace under other power steering recalls had to pay 3k to fix, also steering assist out as well and won't fix unless paid for.

On several occasions my care has given me a warning of stability rack issues and it will then just shut down. This has happened in the middle of turning into parking lots as well as backing into parking spots. I then have to roll down and up my driver side and passenger side windows before I can restart my vehicle.

At slow speeds the vehicle has shut off twice now, once in the middle of los angeles traffic almost causing us to wreck! We have taken it in for that and a popping in the stearing wheel and they told us nothing was wrong. It is a major safety hazard and would like to see something done about it!

I am writing to notify you of the problem I am experiencing with my 2015 chevrolet tahoe (VIN [xxx]). The problem is that the power tilt and telescoping steering column pops and clicks at low speeds when turning. General motors and chevrolet are aware of this defect.

Power steering loss occurs with the error message on the dic "steering assist is reduced drive with care", and additional error message "service (stabilitrak)".

1: while driving the car, the second interior row lights flash every 2 minutes, it 's really annoying for the night driving. When I was trying to do a parallel parking, my steering wheel was locked up, this happened couple of times, and sometime, the sign of "stabilitrak off" showed on the front screen. I was also hit by the car behind me.

At a slow speed, <15 MPH, on a rock paved residential road, steering abruptly snapped left. Steering wheel then positioned 180 degrees away from normal. Resulted in vehicle damage to rack/pinion, left wheel knuckle, loss of calibration of steering and back up camera.
