Owner Complaints (4)
Your spare tire latch became stuck and wouldn't release after your tire blew out on the roadside. The latch mechanism had corroded due to road salt, and even professional tow truck drivers couldn't remove it following the owner's manual instructions — they eventually had to cut the latch mechanism off the vehicle. You spent approximately three hours trying to change the tire, and the dealer indicated this is a known issue in your geographic region but offered no assistance. The repair will likely involve replacing the corroded spare tire latch assembly.
