Your vehicle's jack failed while you were using it to lift the car to change a tire, causing the vehicle to fall. The jack (OEM Part Number 13500018) folded unexpectedly at around 100,000 miles. Fortunately, no one was injured, but this represents a serious safety hazard when performing basic maintenance. The issue may require replacing the jack with a properly functioning unit or having it inspected by a dealer.
