2023 Bmw X1 Steering Problems

Upon straight line driving, vehicle has abruptly cut to the left into the opposing driving lane. Had another vehicle been approaching, could have resulted in a collision. It has occurred randomly on three different occasions over two month period. Have been trying to get with the dealer for a week. They don't seem to consider it urgent. So far, there have been no incidents requiring police or visible signs of damage. Abrupt maneuver was preceded by a mechanical "ping" sound followed by a sensation the car was being struck from behind. The incident has made me concerned to drive the car as well as reluctant to keep it even if dealer finds something he can fix.
